Piper's POV

Beep..........beep..............beep. I can hear the sound of beeping and shuffling footsteps throughout any sort of vision or dream or nightmare I have. Its like a background noise and it follows me everywhere. It helps me to know that I'm still here, I can still fight this. But I just don't know how. Sometimes I wonder why I'm still holding on, why I should still try to keep fighting. Sometimes I think about giving up and walking straight towards the bright white light that, I assume, takes me away. Takes me to a place where I can never return, where I'll be gone from this world, this body and never return again.

But then I remember the people waiting for me to wake up, waiting for me to go back to them. Leo, Frank, Hazel, Percy and Annabeth. But also Jason. I wonder if he's waiting for me. I love him. If I left him, I couldn't imagine how he'd feel. I keep seeing images of Jason and I. Like times when we would sit on his cabin's roof and talk and back when we were on the Argo II or sitting in the strawberry fields...

The visions, dreams and nightmares are usually different. But sometimes they've been the same ones I've seen before. Sometimes there's ones where Gaea had taken over Camp Half-Blood, but I know we've already destroyed her. I'm always afraid she'll return, take revenge and kill everyone I love. Sometimes I dream of my dad and I on the beach. Him talking about old Cherokee stories.

This time, it was in the future. About maybe 5 years ahead of today. I was looking at two figures standing beside each other. Then I realized it was myself and Jason, standing in front of a house. He was holding a box, so was I. The house was overlooking a beach and had forests on either side of it.

Jason turned his head towards me (the one standing next to him or Piper 2) and said "Ready?" Piper 2 nodded her head and together they walked inside the house.

I forced back tears. This was a vision of me and Jason, in the future. But I knew it couldn't be real because here I was, just a ghost in this, watching this vision knowing it won't become real because I was dying.

The Piper and Jason in this vision looked so happy. They looked happy to be together, and they looked happy that neither one of them was dying and that they'd be together. For the rest of their lives.

I was just a ghost... Just a ghost hoping that one day this could come true. That Jason and I could spend the rest of our lives together. Buy a house, have kids, grow old together. Grow old being happy, together.

"Jason, I love you. I'll stay with you as long as you need me." I looked up to the sky, the forests all around me rustled and the sound turned into the sound of footsteps. Like always. The visions started to turn hazy and my heart started beating faster. I wasn't scared or nervous or anything, it was just randomly beating faster. The image of the house and the forest and the beach started to fade into blackness. The image was gone.

I took a large breath in and opened my eyes. Instantly, I started coughing up a strange green liquid. I shut my eyes closed while I continued to cough.

"Piper? Piper!"

I was still coughing but I managed to open my eyes and I was staring into deep sky blue eyes.

"J-J-Jason?" I managed to make out while I continued to cough.

"Oh my gods. Will! Will! I need you in here immediately." Jason yelled then his voice quieted. He rested his hand on my arm. I had stopped coughing but my head pounded and I felt like I was getting sleepier and sleepier. "Piper. Stay with me. Piper. Don't go, not again."

"I won't, I won't. I promise."
