Never Have I Ever

Eleanor woke up, swaying in the cold ocean water. She squinted through the sunlight moving to tread in the water as she looked around, her sister nowhere in sight. It was disorientating, her mind a jumbled mess. "Diana!" No answer, the water in stomach creating so much pain it made it hard to stay afloat as she spotted an island in the distance, but she couldn't smile, too worried about her younger sister.

She began swimming for the water as quickly as possible, looking around her constantly for any sign of the other redhead. But no, no girl in sight. She stumbled up on the beach spitting out water as she did, her eyes scanning the beach for anyone only spotting who she thought was a girl named Dot and another girl stumbling onto the beach in cargo shorts and a sweater, her ears dripping with blood.

"Fuck." Eleanor whispered, spinning around trying to locate her sister, a panicking feeling flooding her chest making it hard to breathe. "Diana!" This caught the other girl's attention, as her eyes moved around as if she was trying to find someone. "Diana!" Eleanor screamed again pushing her hands through her soaked hair that was falling out of its bun. "Martha!" Eleanor turned to look at the girl meeting her eyes, the same panic in both. The girl then bent over, blood falling from her mouth and onto the wet sand. "Are you okay?" Eleanor breathed stumbling slightly towards her as the girl wiped her mouth and nodded.

"Diana!" "Marty!" "Fuck!" Eleanor finally spotted the girl face down in the water, her red no longer its normal ginger instead soaked in a crimson color coming from her forehead. Eleanor took off in a sprint towards the water leaning down and flipping her sister over before dragging her up the beach. "Fuck, fuck, fuck." Nellie fell down onto her knees beside the girl, feeling her neck for a pulse, her heart racing but soon relief flooded her body at the feeling of the pumping blood. "Is she alive?" Nellie turned to look at the brunette, nodding before she began to cough, moving away as blood fell passed her lips.

"Nellie?" Eleanor turned to look at her sister picking up her head a bit. "Hey, hey I'm here it's okay. Jesus, I thought you were dead for a minute." Eleanor smiled relieved to see her sister laugh despite the blood falling down her cheek. "Can't get rid of me that easily." "Hey!" The other girl and Eleanor both whipped their heads to look at the water, another girl Eleanor recognized was in the water holding onto someone whilst waving her hand in the air. "Hey!"

"Stay here. Don't move or you might make it worse." Eleanor lightly set her sister's head on the sand before taking off into the water racing with two other girls towards the two in the water. "I got her." Dot spoke, picking up Jeanette and pulling her from Leah's hands. "Is there anybody else out there? Think, did you see anybody?" "I didn't. I didn't see anybody." "Toni!" Eleanor helped Leah up from the water, the girl's arm coming around her shoulders to balance herself out as they walked through the ankle high water towards the beach. Toni and Dot carrying Jeanette.
