Innocent Niall

“CAMMY WAKE UP AND GET READY! I HAVE YOUR DRESS READY FOR YOU!” my mum shouted and I jolted up from the bed. Oh right, the wedding’s today. I got up and mum handed me the dress that I was supposed to wear. The wedding was to start at four in the afternoon.  “Oh and your grandparents are coming in an hour so I suggest you get a move on.”

My grandparents? I’ve never met my grandparents before. Like ever. I quickly got into the shower and flashbacks of last night flooded through my head. Ariana came up to me and introduced all of her out of school friends. There was a girl called Ana. She had brown wavy hair and I think she said she liked to rap. I can’t remember because I was too busy thinking about how Jayden was going. Then there was a girl called Michelle. She had the coolest hair. It was dark brown with the tips dyed light brown.

I got out of the shower and dried my body with my towel before wrapping it around myself. I walked out and put on the dress. It was lime green and I looked down to see matching heels. I sighed. What am I doing?

It was currently eight at night. Today has been crazy! My mum is now married, I met my grandparents and Colin for the first time and I’m currently sitting outside on the grass alone while everyone is partying inside. Colin was alright but there was something fishy about him.

I wish Jayden was here with me. My phone started to buzz as I realised that I had an incoming call from Jayden… on skype? I pressed ‘accept ’ and I saw Jayden’s face on my screen, smiling.

“CAAAAMMMYYYY!!!!” he shouted, I couldn’t help but form a smile. I heard a lot of talking in the background and heard a british accent?

“Hey Jayden! I miss you so much. Where are you? Are you in London?” I started to bombard him with questions.

“Yeah and guess who I just met,” he smirked. My eyes widened as I gasped, seeing a familiar flock of curly hair behind him. No, it can’t be.

“OMFG YOU’RE IN THE SAME FUCKING ROOM AS ONE DIRECTION AND YOU’RE SKYPING ME? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHAT DID YOU SAY TO THEM? DO THEY SMELL NICE?” I practically screamed but luckily, no one heard me from inside. Jayden laughed.

“Oh my fucking god Cammy, you’re worse than me! Well me being me, accidentally said to Harry that he was hotter up close,” Jayden blushed. I cracked up.

“Are you serious? There better be a video of this somewhere Jayden,” I grinned. Then suddenly, Jayden’s phone was taken from him and his face was replaced by Niall. Wait, what? NIALL FUCKING HORAN? I instantly turned the phone away from my face so the camera was viewing the bushes next to me.

“HEY! Why isn’t anyone there?” I heard Niall whine.

“Cammy! Turn the phone around so Niall can see your face,” Jayden instructed.

“Yeah Cammy. I want to see what Jayden’s girlfriend looks like,” Niall whined.

“Uh Niall, she’s not my girlfriend. She’s my best friend,” I heard Jayden say. I heard Niall say ‘oh’.

“No! I look so ugly and omg. I’m sure you don’t want to see my ugly face Niall,” I said feeling insecure.

“I’m sure you’re not. Please or I’ll tweet about you,” Niall threatened. Pft, no one knows my twitter. “It’s CamMarsh5, isn’t it?”

“How do you know that?” I asked, facing the phone back to me.

“Oh wow, you ARE beautiful like Jayden said,” I could feel my cheeks go bright red.

“Niall! You weren’t supposed to say that!” I heard Jayden whisper.

“What? Why not? Jayden, haven’t you told her that you love her,” I flinched back.

“You weren’t supposed to tell her that Niall!” Jayden groaned.

“Oh, sorry Jayden. I thought she already knew,” Niall innocently said. I bit my lower lip. There’s no way Jayden likes me in that way. “Well, nice meeting you Cammy. I better go before Jayden beats me up.”

And with that, he left, giving the phone back to Jayden.

“Uh- Cammy, sorry about that,” Jayden said awkwardly.

“It’s okay. Jayden, when are you coming home?” I asked, looking back into the hall. The party seemed to still be going.

“Soon, maybe two or three days to be exact,” he replied.

“Oh, okay,” I said a bit sadly. His face dropped.

“Hey Jay Jay! Who are you talking to?” Jay Jay? I saw a girl with long brown hair popped into view.

“Cammy, what’s wrong?” Jayden asked. I shook my head. “And what’s all that music?”

“Nothing’s wrong. It’s okay Jayden, I’ll talk to you later,” I said.

“Wa-” I hung up before he could say anything else. I wasn’t in the mood to do anything. I can’t exactly go home because I don’t have a car and because my mum is obviously busy having fun so I can’t ask her to take me home. I laid down on the grass and looked up to see the night sky that’s full of stars. I wonder who that girl was. Pft ‘Jay Jay’, that’s my nickname for him.

[Jayden’s POV]

What just happened? She hung up on me. I turned to Veronica who was leaning over my shoulder.

“Oh hey Veronica,” I said.

“Who were you talking to?” she asked curiously.

“My best friend Cammy,” I replied.

“Oi Jayden! Group photo!” Zach called.

“Coming!” and made my way over there. It was with of course, One Direction.

“Sorry about that Jayden,” Niall whispered.

“It’s okay. She’ll just take it the best friend way like she usually does,” I sighed before smiling for the photo. When the photo was done Ronan told us that the competition was about to begin. We went off backstage to get ready.

“So how was the talk with Cammy?” Julian asked.

“It didn’t go as planned,” I sighed.

“Why? What happened?” he asked.

“Well Niall came over and pretty much told her that I love her,” I replied. Yeah, the boys know that I love Cammy.

“Oh… that’s… awkward,” Julian said awkwardly.

“Yeah and something was up with her and I asked what was wrong but she just hung up on me. Julian, I don’t know what to do! I rather go and see how she is and make sure she is okay then be on X Factor,” I exclaimed.

“I know mate. I’m sure she’s fine. I think she just misses you that’s all,” he reassured me.

“You boys are next,” one of the crew members said and walked off. Oh great, we have to perform in front of One Direction and here I am, worrying about my best friend.

“Shit.”

“Alright boys, this is it. We’re going to try our hardest and no matter what, we’re swaggles,” Will said as we huddled. This is it.

Hey guys, sorry for not updating in a while. I was busy on the weekend and celebrating my birthday! So anyways, I briefly put in the people who wanted to be in the fanfic but don't worry, you guys will come again in the story.
