Severus woke to find the empty bed and Sara’s muttered groans of morning sickness coming from the bathroom. Even though he was disturbed that she was in discomfort, the thought of their child growing within her filled his heart. He smiled.

“Are you alright?” Severus called from the bed. Sara vomited again.

“Hell no. Look what you did to me.” Sara yelled with a small laugh.

“It’s your fault,” Severus teased her with a laugh of his own as he flopped back onto his pillow and listened to her run the water and brush her teeth after her sickness.

“MY fault? MY fault?” She came in to the bedroom again toweling off her sweaty brow. “Didn’t I tell you that we should wait until we made more birth control? I specifically told you we needed to wait. I remember that conversation verbatim. But do you ever listen to me? Oh no, you think you have to have it right now. Come on, baby, he says. It’s a beautiful night, baby, he says. I’ll show you a beautiful night,” She teased sarcastically.

“Would that make you feel better?” Severus teased. She hit him with a pillow which he grabbed from her pulling her to him arms and back onto the bed kisses covering her neck.

“I feel fine. I’ve never felt better in my life,” Sara said sweetly. “But we have to get up,” Sara pushed him off her, but he grabbed her and pulled her back down again.

“No, we don’t. It’s Saturday and we don’t have class. I can think of a million other things I’d like to do with you,” Severus said kissing her temple.

“I think you’ve done quite enough already. Don’t you?” Sara teased.

“I can never get enough of you,” Severus continued the kisses down her neck again.

“Um….Severus, honey?” Sara said.

“Ummm….” Severus answered.

“I have to go back to the bathroom…..NOW” Sara pulled away and barely made it to the toilet before vomiting again. Severus felt sorry for her, but he couldn’t help but laugh softly. “I know you’re laughing you asshole,” Sara said between dry heaves.

“I’m not laughing,” Severus tried his hardest not to laugh.

“You liar,” Sara spat into the toilet. “I feel like shit.”

“I thought you said you felt fine. Didn’t you just say you never felt better?” Severus kept teasing her.

“I…I….” Sara gagged again and the bout of sickness was over. She ran more water and brushed her teeth again. “Don’t tell me what I did and didn’t say.” Sara teased him. He loved it.

“I could make you a potion to help with your nausea. I know of several, in fact. I will check on them to see if they are safe during pregnancy,” Severus offered sliding from the covers and dressing in his bath robe.
