Attack on Titan x Reader: The Severance [FANFIC]

Ch. 2: This is A New Beginning

You and Eren walked around the emptiness of the parking garage with the propellers in each of your guys' hands. He dragged you behind him to make sure you were protected at all costs. You lightly punched him on the shoulder before saying something to him.

"What are you doing, Eren? I don't need you to protect me like everyone else does." You spoke up to him, coming beside him.

"I-I'm sorry, Y/N. I don't know if the others are here as well, but we need to find a way to get to the other levels of the garage." He states back, looking in different directions for any sign of a way to go up or down.

More growls come from behind the two of you, making the both of you turn immediately. There were three zombies right there, one having an arm on your shoulder. Before it could even get closer to you, you slashed its head off with your blade and Eren managed to get the other two before they could get closer to either of you. You landed on the ground and glanced over at Eren, who was keeping an eye on the bodies on the pavement.

"Are you okay? That was a close one." He asked, coming up to help you up from the ground. You stood up from his help and gave him a nod.

"Yeah, I'm good. Thank you for helping me there." You spoke, giving him a small smile. He nods back at you and notices a few more shadows coming from behind you again.

"Behind you! Watch out!" Eren shouts, taking the propeller in his hands. You turn around and worry began to grow on your face. It looked like there was three more coming from behind you, but they were walking normally. They were slumped or walking like they were falling apart. These are normal human beings. More of the corps members?

"Eren! Wait! It's Connie, Jean, and Reiner! Take the blade away!" you holler at him. He slowly lowers the blade and eventually takes it away. He stares at the three in awe. He's so thankful for them to be alive and here. They're able to help you guys out with what is going on right now.

"Y/N! Eren!" Connie hollers and makes a run towards the both of you. As soon as he reaches to you guys, he pulls you and Eren into a hug. "Thank god you both are okay! We thought everyone was gone for good." He added.

Reiner and Jean eventually came and joined the hug, making it into a big group hug. You weren't really close to these guys, besides Eren and Jean over your time in the Survey Corps. Eren was like a brother to you, nothing more or less. You guys have always acted like siblings from the very first moment you both met. Besides Mikasa's jealousy towards you because of your friendship with Eren, he always reassured her nothing was going on between you two. Jean is someone you've admired for sometime now. You thought he was the biggest jerk for the first year of being in the Survey Corp, but you've developed a crush on him now. The two of you flirt every now and then, but you aren't quite sure if it's serious or not. You've known about his feelings about Mikasa for a few years now, but he doesn't really show any sort of feelings towards her anymore. Connie and Reiner were just good friends of yours to this day. But anyways with the situation going on right now, you didn't care who you were and weren't close to. It was a matter of fact that any of you guys could die right now still.

"Okay okay guys. We don't have the time for affection. There are these zombies all over the garage and we need to get rid of them." Eren spoke, taking Connie's arm off him and taking out the propeller again.

"He's right. We've ran into a few before we found you both." Reiner said, making eye contact with all of you guys.

"We need to find the others, make sure they're okay as well. I have no idea where these living corpses are coming from." Jean stated, wrapping an arm around you and Connie.

"You guys got anything to defend yourselves with?" Eren asked, making a face towards Reiner. Reiner is the one who has a hard time with fighting anything, especially when something new comes by. He has screwed up in the past back in the training days, but he's developed into a better person. Honestly, you could trust Reiner much more now than you did back then. Everybody can say that as well.

"Yes, we got the blades from the odm gear. Wish we had the other stuff, but I guess someone took their hands on it before we could gain consciousness again." Jean responds, showing the blades that are resting against his waist area.

"I think we all have the blades leftover from the gear, Jean." Connie added in with sarcasm. You gave him a small smack upside the head before he continued to mock Jean some more.

"Unnecessary, Connie. Eren didn't have anything leftover." You whispered to him, looking over at Eren then back at Connie. "Well, he didn't have the upgraded gear like us, so I guess it makes sense." You added after realizing Eren really had no sort of defense weapon before he ran into you.

"Well, I think it's time we go find the others. We have to make sure they're safe and alive. When we all get together as a group, it'll be easier to fight off these zombies." Eren spoke, looking around him to make sure you all are still safe from the zombies coming.

You all agreed to get going to find the rest of the Survey Corps. The five of you walked around the level in the garage, making sure every zombie possible was dead and gone before beginning to explore the rest of the garage to kill off the zombies and find the rest of everyone. You have to know why you guys are here. Why there are zombies everywhere? Who is behind all of this nonsense? Hopefully, something will be discovered soon after everything is done.

Sorry for not posting much on this story. :( I've been super busy with stuff going on at home and I barely have free time during the day to do whatever. Night time is the best time for me to work on the story and I don't stay up as much as I used to. So, that's why I've been posting really slowly with the chapters, but I'm working on them everyday! 

Please let me know if there are any errors in my writing and I will gladly fix them :) Thank you for sticking to this story and I hope you all will look forward to more chapters. If you have any suggestions on what I should do to my story, let know as well!
