Ch. 1: Where Are We?

[MANGA CHAPTER 139 SPOILERS: spoiler-free after line]

The time has finally arrived. Titans were finally defeated and wiped out from the planet. Many blood, tears, and deaths were taken to get to this moment. The remaining members of the Scouts who had titan powers lost those powers forever, having them back to normal human beings. Everyone else who were turned into mindless titans were also back to normal humans. Freedom has finally arrived.

Celebration was going on all around me. Gabi and Falco harshly hugging one other, Jean and Connie embracing one another with tears, Reiner all happy to be reunited with his mother, and much more happiness and relief going on all around. Eren and the others were nowhere to be seen though. I'm assuming they were just with one another somewhere being happy. For me however, I have nothing to look forward to. I have no one to reunite with besides my comrades. My whole family died during the beginning of this whole mess with the Titans. I mean I am happy to be back as a human, but who is there to see to be excited for when you don't have anybody else you've haven't seen for years?

My head was pounding nonstop. I rested my head in my hands as I sat on the ground, rocking back and forth, groaning in pain. The pounding eventually made my vision into a static. Tears were welling from my eyes.

"Y/N! Are you okay?" Connie hollered, running towards my sitting figure. As soon as he hollered, Jean and Reiner came to me as well. The static vision was only just getting worse. "You're bleeding all over your head!"

"N-no! I can't- m-my vision!" you cried out, gripping your hair between your fingers as more tears came down your face. Jean rubbed your back as Reiner was attempting to get you to calm down.

Suddenly more people around us began to pass out, their bodies collapsing on the ground as if they've been shot multiple times in the back. Unfortunately, Gabi was one of them as well, Next to her was Falco freaking out, tears streaming from his eyes. Reiner looked over to see the two younglings and his worried face deepened more. What the hell happened to a happy ending? What if the titans wasn't the only thing that was our biggest enemy? Why is everyone blacking out all of the sudden?

All these questions were running through my mind. I look up to Connie and Jean. Connie's face was pale, darkness creeping around his eyes. I wish I could do something to save him, but there's no way with the state of shock and pain I'm currently in. Luckily, Jean and Reiner were here to help him out because Connie is going to pass out any second.

"Connie! No!" Jean shouts, catching his close friend from falling to the ground. His hand was still resting on your back with Connie's body in his other arm. The two male Scouts make contact with one another before looking back at me. It took me a few seconds before I could get a word out. This pain is starting to overtake my body now.

"G-Guys, I don't know w-what's going on. B-But I think w-we s-should..." you attempted to spit out before you suddenly saw nothing but black. I could feel someone's body rest against me as I blacked out. Either Jean or Reiner. At least I passed out knowing that I didn't injure myself and someone held onto me. What is seriously going on right now? Am I about to die right now?

[Around 42 hours later]

I began to have the feeling of existence again. Having the feeling of control over my body again. Hearing beginning to ring in my ears again. It almost felt too good to be true. There is no way I am alive again after everything else that has happened. I began to move around to get the feeling of control in myself. My eyes open to look around on where I was now.

"W-What the hell?" you softly whispered to yourself, looking around the area.

You were put in a dark, empty parking garage. Not a single vehicle in sight. It felt like a completely different side of the planet. Vehicles do not exist back at your home area. How in the world was it possible to be here? You stood up on your feet to scan the place once. The outside world was boarded up, so there was no light or way to escape from the eerie place. Screams could be heard from a distance. You weren't sure how far or what level they were from, but it sure as hell scared you to death. Not again were you about to fight for your life, fight for humanity, for freedom. All over again. Whatever it is, it's coming for you guys this time. It is NOT going to win.

You began to walk around to see if anyone was around that'll help you out, possibly comfort you from all this chaos. The screams were gone, and it became silent. You were still in your Scout Regiment uniform, minus the green trench coats. Whatever brought you here didn't take all of your ODM gear luckily. However, the gas mechanics and grapple hooks were taken.

"Hello! Can anyone hear me?" You shouted to the empty lot, looking all around you from every direction. Tears were forming in your eyes as you blinked rapidly to keep them from sliding down your cheeks. A sudden growl was heard from a few feet away. You turn in the direction the growl is coming from and see a living corpse limping its way towards you.

"N-no..." you whispered to yourself. You've heard stories about zombies and how dangerous they can get when they're in groups. How they sink their rotten teeth into your flesh, taking nice chunks off your body as if you were their food. If you were bitten by these mysterious creatures, then you'd suddenly turn into a zombie as well. Or that's how it was like in the stories that you've heard plenty of times back home.

The zombie came closer and closer towards you. You took out your bladed propellers and ran after the zombie, slicing the corpse in half before it could do any damage. The corpse falls to the ground, blood spilling all over the pavement. Not the first you've seen this kind of stuff.

"Y/N! You're here too?" You heard a voice from behind you, making you jump.

You turn over and noticed Eren was standing there behind you. He was in his shirt with the strings hanging out and his black pants. Thank god he was okay! Maybe he can help you find out where the rest of the group could be.

"Eren! Stay by me! There's these zombie-like creatures running around here. I think they're targeting us. We need to find the others as soon as possible." You state to him, offering your second bladed propeller. "Please take this in case we separate, please."

He looks at you, then back at the propeller. Letting out a small laugh, he accepts the propeller and keeps it by his side. You lend him a small smile in return.

"Alright. Let's go find the others then." He states, coming to stand right next to you.
