"I don't know which part of you looks like a wolf but right now I'm kind of traumatized. " I muttered to myself as I tried to hide myself at the corner.
"Hakken... no bad. No hurt you. " the wolf pup said.
Hakken? That's definitely the name that I heard in my dream before, the night when i took him in. So that wasn't a dream after all? And that feeling of him being so close to me... ISN'T FAKE TOO??
I pulled my blanket over me and tried to protect myself from him. He IS trying to eat me! Please don't come near me please don't come near me please don't come near me-
"I wont. I stay. " Hakken said. Wh- did i say it out loud? Or did he read my mind?!?! What kind of sorcery is this?!?!?!?
"SPARE MEEEEEEE! " i screamed.
His ears dropped down and he backed away. He backed up onto the wall and he flinched when he bumped on the wall.
He looks like he's hurt. With my animal protection instincts, I quickly got out of bed and ran towards him, trying to check if he's hurt anywhere.
He started to hesitate and he wanted to slip away but then i held him in place. "Don't worry, it'll be quick. " i said in a soothing tone.
I lifted up his shirt and found a bruise on his ribcage. Instead of just one bruise at the front, there are even bruises at the back. It seems that he was being abused before. Was it when he was dumped at the back alley?
"I'll go grab some ointment for you so stay on the bed and wait for me. " I slowly led him to the bed and went to grab the ointment.
After i got back, Hakken curled up in my blanket and somehow fell asleep already. I sighed and sat next to him.
"What have i gotten myself into..? " i whispered.
