If I'm going to run today, I need to be prepared. I change from sandals into a pair of sneakers and go into the study in the wing again. Any book with a layout of packland will do, just to have an idea of where I am headed. After browsing for a bit, I find a small map. Though it's not very detailed, it gives me a broad idea of where Midnight territory connects to my pack. Running through is not an option. He'll catch me. Not only is he an Alpha, my wolf is non-existent. I'd need a car. To find a car, I'd need Violet.

Just as I think of her, she enters. "Luna."

"Violet. Thankyou for coming."

She seems surprised that I spoke to her civilly. I continue, "I'm very sorry for what I put you through last night. I know you are accountable to your Alpha and manipulating you last night, wasn't very kind of me. Specially when you were only trying to make me feel welcome. I know this might be difficult for you to understand but I was whisked away from my pack, not allowed to say goodbye and then two of my packmembers were tortured here. I couldn't just see it and not say anything, but I am sorry that I dragged you in between."

"Luna. I understand your reasoning. Though, I did come directly into the Alpha's line of fire, I understand where you are coming from."

"Please don't take last night as me shying away from my responisbilties. I'm aware of what is required of me." I lie, straight through my teeth. I needed to gain her trust in order to get information on the nearest car.

"That's great, Luna. Shall we begin?" She says with the brightest smile on her face. Goddess, this girl is so naïve.

For the next hour, she drones on and on, about responsibilities of a Luna, how she is a constant support to the Alpha, the formal marking tradition, pack engagement, pack training and education. I listen to everything with a smile on my face, occasionally chiming in with a question or two to demonstrate interest. I see her guards begin to lower, and I know in a couple of minutes, I can begin asking questions about pack specifics.

"Violet, lets take a break. That's really an overload on information."

She giggles, "Of course, I understand Luna."

"Just call me Kat, let's get something to eat."

We head into the kitchen and just grab some junk food out of the cupboards. "Violet, I'm thinking about last night. Do you think my actions would have severe repercussions for this pack?" I say as I fake concern.

Violet's eyes soften when she sees the concern on my face, "I hope not Luna. Alpha Amor will be visiting in an hour, to retrieve the prisoners. Let's hope he doesn't take it to the council."

I just nod my head, faking further concern and regret in my expressions, which is something she catches onto. "Luna, I mean, Kat, do not worry. Alpha Zyon will see to it. He's extremely diplomatic when it comes to these things. Do not feel responsible, you only did what was right for your former pack."

I give her a weak smile. "What can we do to cheer you up?" She continues. And just like that she's taken the bait.

"Ah, Violet. I don't know. I'm not supposed to leave the wing. Maybe you can tell me more about the packhouse. I'm so confused. This place is huge, with like a zillion staircases. Tell me about who all lives here."

With that, Violet just sets off. From what I gather, this girl loves to talk and she's all too trusting. She tells me about the layout, the people who live here. How the upper floors are for the higher-ranking wolves and the lower ones are for regular warriors. Since this packhouse is on the outskirts, warriors live here. Families live in the central packhouse. All the packhouses on the outskirts are for the warriors. Until finally, she gets to what interests me: "And then there's the basement, for the cars and stuff. The Alpha loves his cars."
