No matter how hard I try, my eyes remain silver for the rest of the evening. I've clenched my eyes shut a thousand times now, but my wolf refuses to give up control. She's there. I still can't communicate with her, but she's there.

After Zyon marked me, I was ushered into a cabin a few paces away from the stage to clean up the blood dripping down my neck. As a few pack omega's graciously help me clean up, I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror. At the colour of my eyes. I never thought I'd see them silver again. Standing in stark contrast to my black hair, I've never felt more like myself.

Though I knew I needed to get my eyes to return to my normal colour, anything I tried was to no avail. I threw water into my eyes, clenched them shut, tried to normalize my breathing, but nothing would shake her. It's like she had finally woken up and wanted to take in the world without my interference. She would not give me control.

Eventually, the blood is cleaned up, my mark as prominent as ever on my shoulder. Once I make my way out of my tent, I realize I didn't even examine my mark, I was too busy staring at my eyes. Not that I have time to ponder on those thoughts. The minute I'm back in the main ceremonial area, I'm surrounded by pack members eager to meet their new Luna. I'm handed flowers and given hugs, and introduced to many at a time.

I'm beginning to feel over-whelmed when Zarah makes her way over to me. I see the shock that's plastered all over her face, when she looks at me. She addresses the crowd, "Okay guys, give your Luna some breathing space."

The crowd disperses at once and I swear, I've never been more thankful for Zarah. Her attention turns back to me, "Well, there's a sight I'd never thought I'd see again." She says.

"I can't get it back in control. My wolf's there, I can't communicate with her but she's there." I say.

"There were bound to be side-effects when repressing your wolf. I'm sure you'll regain control in a while. How does it feel though?" She says.

A genuine smile takes over my face, "I've never felt more like myself. I never thought I'd see my eyes this colour again." I focus on the sounds around me, "I can hear so far Zar, again. It's so clear." I take a deep breath in, the smell of a million scents hitting me. "When I first lost my wolf, the loss of all these advanced senses was so heart-breaking. It felt like I had lost a huge part of myself and I didn't know how to function without it, but for the first time in years, I feel like myself again. It's a little overwhelming, being able to hear and smell everything so clearly, but it's familiar."

Zarah's smile grows wider, "I have missed your wolfie side, you know?"

"I have too." I grin. I take another deep breath, the smell of pine-cones and rain invades my nose and I hear Zyon making his way towards me. He wraps his arm around my waist pulling my back to his chest, as I turn my head sideways to meet his gaze.

I place my hand onto his arm to try and push it off, but the minute I place my skin on his, sparks and tingles explode onto my body. I let out a small gasp. I felt the tingles before, but the intensity with which I feel them now, it's indescribable.

"Everything's intensified for you now, that you have your wolf back." He says. "Your eyes are still silver."

I swallow harshly, unable to get my mind of the way his skin feels against mine, as I say, "Haven't been able to get it under control."
