(A/N: I apologize for the late update the reason for this is a combination of homework, my own laziness, and just having things outside of writing that I am doing. Also, this chapter can get a little confusing. (at least I think so) I think I did an ok job at explaining what's happening but if there is anything that needs clearing or can be worded better please tell me.)

<<Answer. Upon death, and entering this new world, master's soul was fragmented, leaving him far weaker than before reincarnation.>>

...Eh?

...EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!!

Wait wait wait!! Slow down there!! What do you mean my soul was fragmented?! Not only that but I'm weaker too?! Why didn't you tell me this when I first came here?!! I asked, no yelled, at great sage. As I poof back into my slime self.

<<Answer. Master's soul was fragmented. the attack received by master was meant to destroy both the body and soul, however, due to the strength of master's soul it was instead fragmented, however, the fragment of master's soul is far weaker than the whole. Also, the energy from skills engraved in the nucleic heart was used in the process of preserving the ego, effectively rendering it useless.>>

...um. That all nice but I don't really remember what half those words mean. I deadpan.

<<the nucleic heart is the core of the soul, where skills are engraved. The ego is the souls' memories and sense of self>>

At this line thus began the interrogation.

Hmmm? but if the Nucleic heart is the core of the soul how would I survive without it? Without the core of my soul? Also, Why would It be sacrificed for the ego? And how can I use skills if I don't have the nucleic heart where the skills are engraved? hell, how did it sacrifice itself in the first place? And wait How did you figure all of this stuff out. This is the first I've heard about all this soul's stuff.

<<Too many questions asked at once to answer properly>>

I sigh. Fine. how am I able to survive without my Nucleic heart?

<<Answer. The magic stone within master seems to imitate a soul. However, it is a very half hazard and far inferior to a normal soul.>>

Huh. I see. But wait magic stone?

<<Answer. Within masters body>>

Eh? I change my perspective with <magic sense> and like Great sage said I could see a gemstone-like thing within my body.

Wait this thing keeps me alive? So if it's destroyed I die? Wow, I just gained a massive weak spot. I worry.

Well moving on. Why was the core of my being sacrificed for the ego? That doesn't make very much sense. I question.

<<...>>

Great sage?

<<...Answer.>>

She reluctantly says. Umm, Great sage I know it's not likely but did you mess up? I question.

<<No.>>

She answers quickly this time.

Then why are you staying quiet? I question.

<<Answer. Before death, I notice a distortion in space where the outside force that brought master here came from. Sensing its intention I sacrificed master's core to strengthen the ego. This in turn caused the core to be lost and the ego to merely become shattered from the attack. This mysterious entity took master's now fragmented soul and gave each fragment a different magic stone or pseudo soul before taking him back to where we are now and placing him where master awakened.>>
