(A/N: So we'll just ignore the late update right? right. anyway I'm currently writing this at 3 am so please do point out stuff that doesn't make sense or is inconsistent I'll try to fix it after I regain my ability to function my brain. good night)

(Rimuru POV)

"..."

I can't say I wasn't expecting the people in my tent. Before I left to go to the town I was told some people would be recovering in my tent. To be honest, I had completely forgotten about them, but I was still informed about them.

I wasn't however, expecting Aiz to be in there. Nor was I expecting her to give a lap pillow to one of the injured inside.

But hey, who am I to judge? I'll leave her to do what she wants to do. I decide while wandering outside my tent. but as I thought this Aiz came out of the tent flustered. She looked around and upon making eye contact with me, there was a small silence.

She dropped her gaze face still tinted red.

"...You done in there?" I ask with a slightly taunting undertone.

"..." she nodded meekly with a bit of hesitation.

"Heh." I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at her reaction. It was such a contrast to how she usually acted. It was fun seeing her react like this.

I have to say, I've been with them for a while, two weeks now I think. Regardless of their suspicions towards me I've started to get a little comfortable with them.

It might take a while before I can truly feel at home here, but this is at least a start. I smile to myself.

(Bell POV)

The first thing I feel is a heaviness like my body is weighed down.

I don't know how long I've been here. My arms and legs feel like dirt and I keep falling in and out of consciousness. However, I am eventually able to regain my senses and finally break through the sense of nothingness that comes with deep slumber.

I blink a few times to clear my vision, but my mind is still empty. I take note of fabric that seems to surround me. Probably the inside of a tent. I'm on my back looking up at the ceiling.

when my eyes fly open as the memories flood my brain.

That's right!

"Lilly, Welf?!"

Welf, Lily, and I had gone down the middle levels, but were pass paraded and forced to fight our way to the 18th floor

I instantly sat up, however, my body seemed to disagree with that action as a fresh new wave of pain shot through my body a second later.

"–––—?!"

I withered on the ground and curled into a ball.

It felt as if every hit I've taken, every cut scrape, and bruise I've received since entering the thirteenth floor simultaneously cried out.

The pain was so bad it felt as if I might fall back into unconsciousness.

"Oh?" I heard a surprised voice, however, the pain drowned it out.

"Hey, Aiz! It seems like your friend is awake! Although he doesn't seem to be doing too good!" said the voice.

A-Aiz...Aiz Wallenstien...?!

I open my eyes and turn my head towards the voice and see a sight I would not soon forget. A young girl no older than 12 was staring at me. Her eyes shone gold and she had long silverish blue hair. She wore a basic black shirt and pants with a sword at her side. Her skin was clear and free of blemishes. When she noticed my gaze she smiled warmly at me. I couldn't help, but blush upon making eye contact. But I was promptly reminded by what she said.
