(Finn POV)

Utter chaos.

Having had time to finally digest the events of the past few days, that's all I could really think.

So much had happened that finally getting a break to organize everything gave me a headache.

First off the Evilus, a group of familia's from Orario's dark ages had reemerged. The remnants of this group seemed to be gathering once more after being wiped out several years ago and they seemed to hold new cards that they didn't have before. The Demi-spirit, for starters. A monster that we had encountered back down at the 59th floor. Along with that green encroachment that seemed directly connected to the demi-spirit and several monsters that somehow found their way to the surface.

As far as where they're coming from and where the Evilus that are likely behind their appearance have been hiding all this time, that on its own was a question that only really led to one answer. A second entrance to the dungeon. That was the original purpose of the Meren trip actually. To search for this second entrance but after encountering Kali familia and ultimately finding nothing it turned into a situation that yielded little benefit.

The only place to check was daedalus street, a mixed up jigsaw puzzle of a place made by the master architect Daedalus when the city was being constructed. Also known as the labyrinth of the surface, it was almost impossible to navigate properly.

But that was neither here nor there, Loki should be talking to Hermes and Dionysus about the issue of the Evilus in a few days which would likely include a further investigation of Daedalus street.

Not only that, but two human-like irregulars from the dungeon. Levis and Rimuru.

Levis was powerful, being able to take on Aiz in one on one combat and thanks to her eating of magic stones of other monsters her ability to grow was monstrous in its own right, but on top of that she was also seemingly related to Aiz's mother in some way. She was working with the Evilus it would seem.

However when it came to Rimuru the situation just became several degrees of magnitude more difficult.

Because in terms of pure power she was far ahead of any one I had seen. Such overwhelming power. When she had first appeared on the 59th floor of the dungeon the thought that she could be similar to Levis did cross my mind, but the fact that she made no effort to attack or kill us despite clearly having the ability to do so gave me pause. And as time went on Rimuru's strangeness only continued to show itself.

In particular her social intelligence was far above anything a monster should be able to cultivate in the dungeon. It was general knowledge that the deeper into the dungeon one went the smarter the monsters became and while it was certainly true some had found easy to communicate among each other something like Rimuru who could easily integrate into the social dynamic of the Loki Familia despite the initial suspicion within a few days of meeting wasn't something a monster should be capable of, irregular or not.

What Rimuru managed to accomplish took experience.

And aside from that her motivation was still in question.

But no matter how I looked at Rimuru, her motivations seemed almost nonexistent. Of course there were things she wanted to do but they didn't strike me as some deep underlying goal. There wasn't any goal to her friendliness. Nor was there any real reason she decided to make a deal with us after our separation on the 18th floor. But by virtue of her existence it could be said that she contradicted that goal.

And then you had to consider her relationship with Sophia. Sophia herself was difficult to understand, but the gist is that she was working for someone who wanted to use Rimuru for some reason.
