(A/N: Sup, so I'm still not technically done with editing the rest of the chapters, but my motivation to edit the entire story right now is pretty low so I'm just gonna give you guys this. Have fun. and Remember to vote on the chapter and follow (cause I want Wattpad clout))
(Aiz POV, 3rd person)
A strange numb feeling enveloped Aiz's body when she overheard Hermes. She couldn't lie to herself, when Hermes said Rimuru had a secret plan, she had trouble believing it. Despite Rimuru's admittedly strange movements, she didn't strike Aiz as the kind to have some evil plot. However, when she saw Rimuru reveal herself as a monster, while a small part didn't want to believe it, a more significant part of her had an indescribable emotional bubble inside her. It wasn't quite anger, but her head felt hazy.
What was this feeling? She wondered.
She rushed towards the camp as she felt her heart pound, and her blood rush. She needed to inform the captain immediately.
Fear? Anger? Excitement? She struggled to pin down the precise emotion before she found herself in front of the captain.
"Aiz?" Finn said eyebrows furrowed
"It's Rimuru," she spoke between breaths.
Finn's eyes widened at this and the conversation between the two had caught the attention of everyone else.
He got up and quickly ran up to Aiz, a serious expression on his face.
"What happened?" He asked
She swiftly gave a basic overview of the events.
Finn quickly took control of the situation. He ordered Aiz to go back and make sure that the rest of the group that had been with Rimuru when he was revealed was safe.
She swiftly did as ordered, but upon doing so nothing but trouble came from doing so.
Because she overheard that.
"...so, why did you lie?" the unmistakable voice of the goddess of the hearth sounded. Her words cut through Aiz's mental fog like a knife.
What?
"Hmm? About what?" the voice of the messenger god, Hermes came soon after.
"...you know exactly what. That monster wasn't lying, so why did you claim he did?"
Aiz's eyes widened as she heard those words.
The scene replayed in her mind.
'...I'm not planning to do anything,' the desperate voice of Rimuru Tempest rang in her ear. And the rebuke of the messenger god came soon after.
"Like she said you can't lie to a god."
"..."
As she slowly put the pieces together in her mind the conversation continued.
"Hmm, well who can say? Perhaps I was simply frightened by that tremendous aura." He suggested while taking a thinking pose.
The voice of Lady Hestia fell quiet at that, but Aiz was too lost to care.
If Hermes lied then. Does that mean...? Rimuru isn't evil?
At the same time, a voice inside of her countered
But she's a monster.
That alone should've solidly placed her in opposition to Rimuru, however, she still hesitated.
She stood still trying to come up with an answer.
Was Rimuru to be trusted? Was Rimuru going to come for them? Would she regain their trust if she extended her hand?
