Under the dark sky filled with stars our adventurer slowly sneaked towards the toad fields

He had both lurk and enemy detection on but he was still paranoid

With lurk he was invisible and with few skill points in enemy detection he can detect enemy based on there intent

These were the few skills he had picked up from his guild mates

When the axe said he would get extra skill points he didn’t pay it much attention but when he saw his skill points after adding Megumin to the squad he was blown away

he was at lvl 3 and he had 17 skill points 5 from the start and 4 for each level

Which he knew was way above others

Hell he can learn explosion with this many skill points,not that he would

one explosion maniac is enough for there team

He had gotten snipe for 4 skill points

Enemy detection for 1

Lurk for 1

Heal for 5

And had then dumped all the remaining points in enemy detection cause he is paranoid

You might be wondering why waste points on heal when he has aqua ,well answer is simple he doesn’t trust her one bit

Also he had not told her about it either cause it’s just a can of worms he doesn’t want open

Wait …where were we … yes the toad fields

So after asking Megumin about the sleeping cycle of toads he came up with a plan to kill them during night when they will be asleep and defenceless

Why hasn’t anybody else thought about this before

Well nobody in this town likes to remain at the adventurer job ,as it was the lowest, that also meant they didn’t have ability to learn lurk ,so going outside the town walls during night when they can’t conceal themselves was a big no no.

Also low intelligence stats

So he slowly creeped his way over one of the toads , raised the axe and brought it down

The toad opened his eyes the moment the axe connected with its back

Kazuma knew what he did wrong

He should have gone for the head

His only saving grace was that he had cut deap enough that the toad would die of blood loss in a 15 minutes

Bad thing was 14 minutes 59 seconds were still remaining and his lurk skill has deactivated

He just now realised how deep in this shit he was

So he left the axe embedded inside the toad and ran

Ran like a man possessed

Of course it didn’t do him any good

This time aqua wasn’t there to be a enticing target, so the toad soon cornered him

The toad moved towards him slowly and menacingly

‘This is the end I guess’he thought as the toad closed in and on basic Instinct he put his hands infront of him

Something flew into his hand, there was a loud thud and something warm hit his clothes

He opened his eyes and saw his axe in his right hand glistening in the moon light covered with blood
