Chapter 4: Heart of the Tree of Life

One morning, Kion and Rani were just waking up, this was the next day after they faced Zono Cruel in the secret realm

Kion: Morning Rani. 

Rani: Morning Kion, ready to find the heart? 

Kion: Yeah, where is it? 

Rani: I'll show you, but let's get your Guard. They should know as well. 

Kion and Rani head Outside the Tree to find their Guard

Kion: Morning everyone. 

Fuli: Morning Kion. 

Bunga: How are you doing today? 

Kion: We're doing well. 

Beshte: So, are we ready to patrol? 

Rani: Actually we're gonna go find the Heart of the Tree of Life. 

Ono: Heart of the Tree of Life? 

Rani: It's something only the Tree of Life's rulers and the Night Pride has known for many years. It's highly classified, we hide it from the rest of the world. Any evil lion, including Zono Cruel, could use it's magic to use power against the world. 

Anga: Wow, that's... 

Rani: I know. C'mon, let's go. 

Kion, Rani and the Royal Guard go into the Tree, Makini also joins them to find the Heart

Fuli: So, it's inside the Tree? 

Rani: It's under the Tree. This heart has the most powerful roar, even more powerful than the Roar of the Elders. Trust me, it does. 

Beshte: I don't see how we could get down? 

Rani: Oh, there's a way. That's we brought Makini. Makini? 

Makini: Right! 

Makini uses her staff, and the rock moves, Kion and the Guard were amazed

Fuli: Now that was cool. 

Bunga: You can say that again. 

Fuli: I'm good. 

Kion: Let's go. 

They all go down to find the Heart of the Tree of Life

Rani: For many generations, the heart is what kept the Tree from rooting. 

Bunga: Really? 

Rani: Yes. It even helped my grandmother in her time of need. Hunerd even wanted to find the Tree's heart, but grandmother Janna stopped him. The day comes when the fire starts, and then attacks my parents. Tried to come after the rest of us. But it failed. Hunerd was then banished, but he did return one day. We all know that story. 

Beshte: Yup. 

Fuli: You said it. 

Kion: Hopefully we can deal with Zono Cruel. He seems much more dangerous than any other enemy we encounter. Well, apart from Scar I guess. 

Rani: Yeah. But I can thank him. If he didn't scar you, the Tree of Life would've fallen. 

Kion: Thanks Rani. But still, Zono is also more powerful than Scar. 

Fuli: We'll defeat him in time Kion. 

Kion: I know we will. 

Rani: Well, we're almost there. 

But, another rock was in the way, Fuli asks "A rock?"

Rani: Oh, this isn't the heart, it's in the next room. 

Makini uses her staff to move the rock, then they all go in and the Heart was found, it roots were all around them

Kion: Wow... Hevi Kabisa! I bet my family would've loved to see this. 

Bunga: Wow, so how does Kion get powers from here? 

Rani: Oh, if Kion just puts his paw on it, this roar will come. 

Kion puts his paw on the heart and the roots start to glow. Giving Kion the new roar called "The Roar of Protection", it even upgrades Kion and his Guard's Night Pride marks

Rani: Wow, you guys look cooler than before. 

Kion: Thanks. 

Fuli: Even our marks are different now. 

Kion: They sure are. 

Bunga: I bet your roar is ten times powerful than the Roar of the Elders! 

Kion: But how am I gonna master this roar? Askari didn't even had this roar. 

Rani: King Zarlen knows, he'll show you everything. 

Kion: Where did he discover this? 

Rani: Right at the Tree, you can go Outside and ask him. 

Kion: Okay, I will. Thanks Rani. 

Kion goes Outside and Climbs the Tree branches to meet Zarlen

Kion: Zarlen? 

The clouds start to show King Zarlen

Zarlen: Hello Kion, I am Zarlen. 

Kion: Nice to meet you Zarlen. I heard so much about you. 

Zarlen: And I've heard so much about you. My, have you've grown. 

Kion: Thanks. But I need your help. This evil lion you banished many years ago. He has returned from the Overworld. 

Zarlen: Zono Cruel? 

Kion: Yes, and he could only be stopped by this powerful roar I've recently got. I don't know how I could use it. 

Zarlen: Don't worry Kion, I will teach everything about the Roar of Protection. Even more powerful than the Roar of the Elders. Are you ready to learn? 

Kion: I'm ready.
