In the Tree of Life, Kion was hanging with Kiara and Vitani. As they are talking about the past 3 weeks in the Circle of Life. Since Zono Cruel and his stone lions have been invading the Tree of Life and Pridelands recently, then Kion decides he's gonna go see King Zarlen

Kion: Well, I think I'm gonna go learn more about my new roar.

Vitani: Okay, don't use hold you back.

Kiara: Yup, have fun.

Kion: Alright.

Kion heads to the Tree to learn more about his new roar

Kion: King Zarlen.

As King Zarlen appears from the clouds

King Zarlen: Hello Kion, ready to learn more about the roar?

Kion: I sure am.

King Zarlen: Now this time, try use the tornado to make yourself fly.

Kion: Really? That's easy?

King Zarlen: Oh, this is different?

Kion: How?

King Zarlen: Well, you see. Some of this different from the usual roar you use. This time, roar at the top instead of down.

Kion: Okay.

Kion looks at the sky and uses his roar and flies

King Zarlen: Alright, no drop.

Kion falls and uses his roar he learned earlier to save himself

King Zarlen: Nice work Kion, you're doing pretty well.

Kion: Thanks. I hope I will be ready to defeat this evil lion.

King Zarlen: You will Kion, I promise. Now, let's continue this trianing.

Later, with Kiara, she and Vitani are talking about Kion

Vitani: You think Kion will master his roar in time?

Kiara: Of course. He was able to master the Roar of the Elders.

Vitani: Well, I could master my roar too. Maybe.

Kiara: Of course you could. Kion is gonna help use a lot. Especially with his new roar.

Vitani: He sure will.

However, Kiara is still concerned about her younger brother, since Zono Curel is pretty powerful

Vitani: Relax, Kion will be fine.

Kiara: I know he will. Zono is just worse than Hunerd and Makucha's army.

Vitani: What about Jani?

Kiara: Yeah, I feel like Zono Cruel is planning something way, way bigger!

Vitani: Agreed.

Back at the Tree, Kion is still learning about his roar as Kion lets the rocks down

King Zarlen: Great job Kion.

Kion: Thanks King Zarlen. Say, can I ask you something?

King Zarlen: Sure.

Kion: What was your battle like with Zono?

King Zarlen: Let me tell you. A long time ago, Zono Cruel was just a lion from the Night Pride.

Kion: He was?

King Zarlen: Yes, he saw many predator's attacking the Tree of Life. He never did anything to help. He's always been pretty heartless. He showed no respect to the Circle of Life more than Scar or any other evil lion. I banished him from the Tree of Life for attacking a lot of animals in the Tree of Life.

Kion: Well, I think Zono had that coming.

King Zarlen: He did. But he vowed revenge. As his evil heart grew, he found firestones. He tried to destroy the Circle of Life with them. He created many stone lions. Such as Comor. He had them attack many prides. Even the Tree of Life and Pridelands. Don't worry, Zono was defeated and banished from our realm. But he could return. I discovered something that could defeat Zono once and for all. The Roar of Protection, I trained for many years for that evil lion to return. But he never did. I thought this day would never come. I'm glad you have that roar now.

Kion: I'm glad as well. Well, I should get going now. I will come back tomorrow, I promise.

King Zarlen: Alright then. I hope you could defeat Zono Curel.

Kion: Me too.

Meanwhile, at the Volcano

Marie: Kion has something called the Roar of Protection.

Zono Curel: Roar of Protection?

Marie: Yes, it could destroy you.

Zono Cruel: Well, he wont.

Marie: Why are you so sure.

Zono Curel: Ugh! Why am I always surrounded by you.

Marie: Nothing.

Zono Curel: Listen, I will destroy the Circle of Life. I tried Firestones, the Ever-Crystal, Scar and Hunerd. But none of that worked. It's time we take matters into our own hands.

And yes, Zono does have something to do with Scar and Hunerd as well. I will explain in future chapters, but remember, this if just a fanmade series. So it's no a canon to The Lion King or The Lion Guard
