SILENCE AND SOUND | CHAPTER 24

"Urgh, I don't wanna go." Louis murmured in Harry's neck, making the latter's body shake with laughter.

"But you have to."

"But I'm going to be busy all day!"

"Yes, and we're meeting for dinner at your place later."

"No, but I don't want to leave you." he said like a child being torn away from his favourite grand-parent, holding onto Harry's waist so tight, he was surprised the boy could still breathe.

"Alright, stop being all cute and goofy. You'll see me earlier than you think."

"Urgh, fine whatever. You don't love me anymore."

"Is that why we did what we did last night? Because I don't love you?" Harry said with an amused grin on his face, knowing that it was prone to make Louis fumble and put on a wider grin when he got the expected reaction.

"Shut up. Get up, get dressed and get out."

"Aww, come on." Harry said with a chuckle and followed Louis' bare ass into the bathroom, wanting to frustrate the boy as much as he could before both of them had to go to school. It had been this way since the past week. They'd be clingier and cuter than ever. So much so that Niall was now getting jealous of being the only single guy in the group, but even that wasn't enough to separate the two boys.

Like Louis claimed, they were only making up for lost time.

Quite the making up, indeed, Harry thought with a grin on his face as he kissed his boyfriend's bare shoulder before putting a brush in his mouth. The pair was quick to get dressed, always in sync with each other's thoughts and actions without having to say anything.

As the two parted ways, Louis once again started to whine about not wanting to go, but his boyfriend was quick to remind him about all the exciting things that would go down today and Louis didn't feel so reluctant to let go anymore.

He loved Harry with his entire heart, but even the curly headed boy of his dreams couldn't beat the excitement for today. It was finally the day of tech rehearsals – only two days away from opening night – and Louis was thrilled to actually see the entire play in action for the first time.

They had, obviously, done several full-length rehearsals, but this was going to be even better because it was the first time they'd see the play in the way that the audience would. Louis was going to see his dream come alive on stage, the result of almost six months of hard-work, and he couldn't be more excited about it.

Walking into the theatre, he was glad to see it already buzzing with activity and was quick to greet everyone in his way before walking up to Mr. Knight and discussing the course of action for the day. It didn't take them long to figure everything out and while Mr. Knight briefed the actors and the crew, Louis took a moment to walk backstage and check up on all the costumes.

They were beautiful, every single piece down to the fabric and the frills and the buttons exactly like he'd imagined them to be.

"You like them?" he heard the costume designer from somewhere behind him and nodded with a small smile before hugging her.

"They're absolutely beautiful, Inez. I love them, I love you."

"Aww, thanks Lou. I'm glad you like them."

"Inez, can you check this out for me, please? I think there's a tiny rip here."

"Hold up! Catch you later, Louis?"
