Zane's Pov:
The raven-haired male walked down the smooth, rocky path in which they called a street. He flicked his fingers back and forth between each other, careful not to chip the black nail polish his best friend had applied-against his will-yesterday.
He wasnt complaining by any means, just didn't want anyone else to see and judge him for it. He could honestly care less about what anyone ever had to say about anything, except when it came to his personal appearance.
He sighed and continued down the street, he stopped at a nice, small shop and walked inside. Enjoying the small ding of the bell as he entered, he took a deep breath and went to stand in line.
Two people, shouldn't be too long. Sure enough, one person had gotten their drink and had gone to sit down, the second closely following.
Once it was his turn, he ordered his coffee and sat down at a faraway table, but not too far away that he couldn't hear other's gossip.Taking a swift glance around to make sure no one was watching, I pull down my mask, revealing millions of little star-like dots across my face, and take a sip from my cup.
Nothing exciting had been going on in Mystreet for awhile. Kawaii~Chan still had the best cupcakes in town, Aph still made time for him, Aaron still trying to convince me to like him, Garroth and Laurence acting like extremely closeted gays, life was just wonderful.
That was until he walked in. I heard the doorbell give a small ring, and as soon as I glanced up to see who it was, I instantly regret it. It was someone I hadn't talked to in a long time... Well years. I've seen him around and about but never had been in a confined space with him.
He hadn't seemed to notice me yet, and that's how I wanted it to stay. Okay Zane, calm down. The plan is simple, so simple a toddler could pull it off. Just get out of here as quick as you can without him spotting you, and you'll be perfectly fine.
But you see, the plan hadn't had much of a thought through. He knew this was probably gonna fail, but it was better than nothing.
I stand up, pulling the black clothe over my nose and hold the half dranken coffee in my hands. I take a deep breath and practically race towards the door, but ended up crashing into the person I was trying to avoid.
Just my luck. I curse before standing up. I can see him glancing at me to see if I'd lend a hand, but when I never do he helps himself up. He glances down at what used to be my coffee that was now spilled all over the Cafe's marbled floor.
"I am so sorry!" He exclaims as if this was his fault. "Let me buy you a new one-"
"No, Travis, it's fine." I sigh, walking over to the napkins and grabbing a few. I walk over and basically shove them into the white-haired boy's arms.
"What you can do is clean up this mess while I go and take a nap."I can tell he's about to complain so I quickly make a run for it while I can.
I race back to what me, Garroth, and Laurence call a home and quickly open the door. No time to say hi to Garroth who seems to be making lunch in the kitchen, I run upstairs and quickly remove my gray and black striped hoodie, and change into a plain black one. My skinny jeans I just change into ripped skinny jeans before heading into the laundry room and tossing them in the washer.
I have a few T-shirts and sweat shirts, but nothing fancy until I find a full-time working job.
As I start to head back to my room so I don't have to witness any "bromance" from between my brother and his best friend, I'm stopped by a sudden knock at the door.
"I'll get it!" I watch from the stairway as the blue-eyed brunette himself races to open the door.
Who I see standing there is no shock, I would be surprised if he didn't show up.
"Travis!" I watch as Garroth makes his way from the kitchen into pulling Travis in for a hug, who slowly backs away.
"I'm sorry Garroth, but there's no time for hugs. He knows why I'm here, and I'm here for revenge!"
He points at me and I roll my eyes as I head down into the living room "I'm Travis Valkrum and I'm here for revenge for having to clean up a spilt drink."When I finish mimicking him, I give him a glare, but not long after I notice this is my first time getting a good look at him since... Well, Highschool.
He definitely was taller, his hair now long enough to where-if he ever wanted too- he could definitely cover his eye with it. He looked quite fit, which would make sense being as I've heard he's been on the swim team, plus-
"Will you quit staring and at least just apologize?" The white-haired cavanosa's voice instantly snaps me back to reality.
I look him up and down, once my eyes meet his emerald gaze I take a deep breath before flatly stating, "No," and start walking back up to my room.
"Hold me back Laurence!" I hear him shout, to which I roll my eyes too. I enter my room and close the door behind me, instantly taking out my earbuds and playing some music from my phone.
I swung my hoodie over my arms, leaving me with just a black undershirt. I plop down on my bed and sigh.
I hear the front door shut and assume that Travis had left. Good.
But, now I wish I still had my coffee...
My thoughts are startled by a loud knock on my door. Not even sitting up I mumble, "Come in."
I prop myself up on my elbows and watch as a taller blonde male enters my room, shutting the door behind him.
He takes a deep breath, "Zane, you know you should have apologized to him and that it was rude of you not to."
I roll my eyes, "So?"
"So, I've given Travis your number and if he texts you I think you should-"
"You WHAT!" I exclaim, grabbing a pillow and tossing it at him. He dodges it, being as it was very sloppily thrown and lets out a sound confirming he's given up.
When he leaves, I turn up my music and close my eyes. It's still too early to deal with life.
