Travis's Pov:
I had grabbed his wrist and started to gently pull him out of Aph and Aaron's backyard through the side gate on the side of their house.
I know it's childish, but the feel of his wrist in my hand gave me the adrenaline needed for me to keep on running through the frosty nights air. Every time one of us gave out a breathe, you could see fog from our mouths, It wasn't snowing, so it just made everything ten times worse, just freezing cold, no snow.
I had watched Kc come up to me and tell me that she thinks Zane has a crush on her, and she doesn't want to be the one to ruin her own precious ship, and that she wanted me to come and talk to Zane and figure out if that we true or not, and by the sad looks of espression he was giving, I figured that was the case.
"And we're here!" I announce, hesitantly releasing his wrist from my grasp, his gaze instantly locks with the child's playground just ahead of us.
"Your not expecting me to go on that, are you?" he asked, a tinge of concern lacing his tone as he point to the playground that lay in the distance.
"I mean the swings are fun... No, no I'm not." I mumble the last part as I realize how childish my love for swings were.
I stare intently at the now very interesting ground, but I look up as I hear footsteps in front of me.
"Z-Zane? Where in Irene's name are you going?!"
"Just come on, don't ask questions."
"Well, wait for me!"
I run to catch up to the shorter male, well shoter by about one inch that is, and walk by his side until he leads me to an old swing-set.
"Wha.. What are we doing here?" I look up at him in confusing as he looks me straight in the eye.
"You like the swings, correct?"
"Yeah..?"
"So go ahead and swing, I'm not stopping you."
I look from him to the swing-set, before letting out a chuckle and launching myself at one of the chained seats.
As I swing higher and higher, I can see Zane propped up against a tree on the ground in front of me, and I slow myself down so that the swing comes to a complete stop.
"Oh come on ZuZu, you know you want to~"
He narrows his eyes as he scoffs, "One, never call me that ever again, two, want to what?"
"Swing you dork!" I very visibly roll my eyes at his stupidity, but he only looks me up and down.
"Travis.. We're not kids, or even teenagers anymore.. Wouldn't that be a bit weird?"
I shrug, "So? No one's here to watch, plus, you only live once so who cares what anyone thinks."
He glares at me a few seconds longer, before stifly walking over and sitting on the swing right next to me.
While he barely drifts back and forth, I go all out and try to swing as high as I can, reaching out to try to touch the moon.
"You're not gonna touch it you idiot, it's too high up."
"Let me have this mister grinch!" I shout back, looking down at him, but when I do he's completely still on his swing, as if he was just using it as a chair. He was rubbing his hands back and forth in a fast motion, trying to warm himself up.
I took this as a sign to take him home, and stopped my swing, standing up I stood in front of him and offered my hand.
He stood up, not accepting my help which I was a little disappointed, but completely fine with.
