Zane's Pov:

I stood in the cold night time air on Aph's porch, the wind-that blew strands of raven into my face-carried wisps of frost. I had to admit, it was starting to get pretty cold outside, especially during night. Which this would make sense in all honesty as December as approaching.

December of all seasons, the one that brought with it Christmas. I don't hate Christmas, But I don't nessarly love it either. I did hate it awhile back, but Aph had helped me get over it, and I thank her for that.

Once everyone had gotten situated, we all had sat around the table to eat. I had insisted on sitting on the couch in the other room, but Aphmau argued that I had to be social, and reminded me constantly who had who's phone.

The dinner was a barbecue, and yes you normally would sit outside for that, but by the time the food was ready it was too cold so we had all settled to enjoy it like a normal meal. Except me of course.

Small talk was made among the group, as always, and I kind of just sat there, I didn't want to take off my mask in front of everyone, not that they hadn't seen me without it before or anything, I just still wasn't comfortable around anyone but Aphmau yet, and that's how that was going to stay.

It was all going fine, until I was brought into the conversation.

Aphmau took another bite of her drum-stick that was in her hands, and didn't stop to swallow before turning to me, who was just sitting with my food in front of me, eyeing it as if waiting for the right moment for Irene knows what.

"So Zanee I saw you and Travis talking earlierrr." She mumbled around whatever had been in that mouth of hers at the time. When she doesn't add anything I press, "And-?"

"Anddd I wanted to know if you two were friends again!" She exclaimed, this time actually swallowing whatever it was that she was chewing on.

I eye the white-haired cavanosa from across the table who just stares at me expectly. If this dinner wasn't awkward enough, it just got Alot more awkward.

"I wouldn't say that..." I shift around with the table-clothe, and seeing I was clearly uncomfortable she dismissed me from the table, suggesting that I go to the couch, to which I instantly accept.

From that point on I had eaten on the couch, and no one had come to bother me. Once I had finished and cleaned up after myself, I had decided to head outside to get some fresh air.

Taking in the crispy air once more, that's when I heard the sliding door squeak open. I didn't want to know who it was, nor I did care.

Well that was until I heard her sweet voice, to which I immediately turn around in response to.

"Zane~kun? Kawaii~Chan promised her and Mister Zane would talk after Kawaii~Chan was done helping Aphmau~senpai and Aaron~kun cook."

Shutting the door behind her, she quickly drew her hands to her shoulders, being as she hadn't seemed to have brought a coat or jacket with her.

I smile at her, but notice this at once, quickly stripping myself from my own hoodie so that I was left in a black undershirt and hold it out for her.

"Oh no Zane~kun! It's fine, really. Kawaii~Chan wouldn't want Zane~kun to freeze-"

"Just take it Kawaii~Chan, I don't mind."

She hesitantly takes the dark sweet-shirt and pulls it over her head. She looks up at me once the over-sized sweatshirt was over and head and smiled cheerfully.

"Thanks Zane~kun! It's really cold out here, but if Zane~kun ever wants it back please let Kawaii~Chan know-"

"It's fine, really." I smile under my mask as I rephrase what she had said before. She simply gave a small nodd and came to stand next to me, resting her head on her hand.

We sat in comfortable silence before I spoke up, "It sure is cold out here, isn't it?"

"Zane~kuns right, It's very cold outside. Kawaii~Chan wants to thank Zane~kun again for his sweater, I-"

"Don't mention it, it looks really cute on you." I wished I could take it back the second it left my mouth, but at the same time, I didn't.

I watch as her amber eyes suddenly widen, and within seconds the hoodie is off her and in my hands.

I look down at the sweatshirt and back at, her again, confusion clouding my gaze.

"Kawaii~chan-"

"Zane~kun, I'm a little tired," I watch as she forces a yawn, "Thanks for your jacket Mister Zane, it was really nice to talk to you, but Kawaii~Chan should be going."

And with that, I watch as she leaves, and I immediately think over everything that I could have done wrong.

I slip my dark hoodie back over my head, and continue to stare off into the jet-black sky. Kawaii~Chan hadn't been wearing the sweater enough for it to smell like her, and I couldn't decide if I was upset by this or not.

Deep in thought, I didn't even notice when the hand had touched my shoulder, I jump to my first instinct, which is hitting the person who had snuck up behind me, only to see the familiar face of the idiot cavanosa.

"Ow! You know, I'm going to start a petition to stop Travis abuse."

I look the cavanos up and down, then sigh and turn back to Aph and Aaron's backyard. "What do you want Travis."

"Oh! Uhh.. I just saw Kc come inside and thought you er.. Might need some company."

"Hm." I simply hum in response, as he settles himself next to me on the fence on Aphmau's porch.

We sit in just a silence while we both stare at practically nothing.

I hear Travis let out a deep breath beside me, and I turn to face him, the lighting outside was dim, so It was hard to see his face, I couldn't tell if the bruise had gotten better or not.

"Everyone's watching what I think is a movie inside, I know this park down the road, I know it's cold but you obviously need to get away for awhile.. You down?"

"Sure..." I hesitatently agree, and I see a smile struck his dumb face.

"Come on then!" I feel him grab my wrist and pulls me out through the side gate in Aph's backyard.
