Zane's Pov:
I've spent the next few hours searching online for a job so I can finally earn enough money to buy my own house and move out of my shared home. Of course Mom and Dad-well mostly Mom forcing dad-had offered to help me out, but I decided this was something I needed to do by myself.
As the minutes speed by and I struggle to find a job that seems amusing to me, the time Ive been dreading the most approaches-11 am.
Now, there is a few things I could do. One, just ignore Aphmau all together, but she's my best friend, and if she's invited me over not for baking or ponies there's most likely going to be other people, and I can't take the risk of someone stealing "Aph's best friend" title from me, and Two, I could actually go and be social for once.
I let out something between a frustrated grunt and growl and shut my laptop, powering off the lit up screen. Images from last night kept lingering at the end of my mind, making me lose my thought train all together.
Kawaii~Chan seemed uncomfortable because of something I did. My mom may have raised three very different boys, but there's one thing that we all have in common, she taught us all to be gentlemen.
I knew I had made the pink haired female upset, it was quite easy to tell she had forced herself a yawn to get out of that situation, I should have just offered her the jacket and stopped at that.
Because of last night with Travis I didn't have time to overthink, and that's really coming in handy right now. I had honestly forgotten all about my little scene with the pink-haired mefwa girl when the white-haired cavanosa had dragged me out to that park.
I know we aren't nessarly friends, but when we were that's how it always was, and we thought it would always be. Whenever one of us was upset, the other would do something or bring the other someplace stupid and make the other completely forget about what was worrying them.
And I have to admit, it was hard to get someone like me not to overthink, not even Aphmau can half the time, but Travis just has something special about him that can just make you want to stay in some moment forever with him, like it's just the two of you forever, and that's how you want it to stay. Like how-
"Zane! Get your little-emo self out here right this instant mister!"
I mentally growl as I stand up and sharply swing open my door."Garroth, I was busy, so this better be-"
I look down and realize that my idiot brother wasn't the one who rudely interrupted my thought, it was a short little potato, otherwise known as Aphmau.
"How dare you mistake your best friend for your older brother!" She adds a hint of hurt to her tone, and I can't tell if she's sincere or not, knowing her it's probably just an act.
"Im sorry about that..." I awkwardly scratch my neck as I continue, "Just so used to Garroth being the one to bang on my door so I kinda just interpreted your voice as-"
"Bleh, Bleh, Bleh, okay, enough chit-chat. You and I both know you were going to ignore me so I've come to drag you outside whether you want to or not. Hey! Don't give me that look you fat little nugget!"
I roll my eyes as I lean against my door frame, "Fine, but please move out of the way so I can get properly dressed."
She eagerly steps out of the way, as I shut my door faster than you could say "Oh my Irene". I instantly lock it and lean against it, slowly working my way to the ground and leaning against the wooden door.
She must of heard me dropping to the ground, because once I've gotten into position on the very comfortable floor, you hear instant banging and a potato who's realized, they fucked up.
Aphmau's Pov:
I continue to bang on the door and shout his name multiple times, offering little passive-aggressive threats here and there, but he seems to just be ignoring me.
I stop as a thought pops into my head, I could get Garroth to break it down, but I don't think he'd want to destroy his own property.. Actually scratch that, this is Garroth I'm talking about, he'll destory anyone's door any day, even his own.
I sigh as I realize I should just let him be and head down the guys staircase and meet up with Garroth in his living room and watch as he forms a questioning glare, but I simply shake my head.
"No Zane, locked himself in his room, might as well just let him be."
I watch as Garroth gains a slightly annoyed look on his face, but he shrugs it off as fast as it came.
I look around the guys house, it's a little messy here and there, but they kept it clean for the most part. I didn't look long before a smell drifted from the air and instantly snatched my attention.
"Ooo! Are those cookies?" I practically run to the kitchen like a small toddler and look at the small, chocolate spotted treats that layed before me.
The older Ro'meave made his way and stood beside me, an embarrassed smile stuck to his face.
"Oh, yeah, these are me and Laurence's attempt at baking while we were waiting for you guys to come over."
Without asking, I grab one and shove it in my mouth, trying not to inhale the whole thing at once. Once I had earned a concerned face from Garroth, I licked each of my fingers dramatically, making a popping noise after each finger, and look up at the blonde, a smile stuck to my face.
He raises an eyebrow at my actions, to which I squeal, "These are delicious! You guys really did a great job."
"Daww, thank you Aphmau! Your the best." He lets out a giggly Garroth giggle and he catches a glimpse of our other friends, tossing snowballs at each other behind barricades of the same white powder.
"I'm gonna go get Laurence with snowballs if you wanna come, see you later!"
I'm pulled into a quick hug before the newly excited blonde races back out the front door.
I mentally facepalm as the front door to the Ro'meaves and Laurence's house opens once more and a face appears, not belonging to a taller male, but to a middle-height blue-eyed female with long, blue, curly locks of hair.
"There you are! Come on outside you dork, Travis and Dante challenged everyone to a rematch snowball fight and I choose you as my partner!" As soon as the bluenette was there, she was gone, leaving me alone in the middle of the guys living room.
"Coming!" I quickly shout back in my giggly tone, practically bouncing with excitement. I risk one last glance up at Zane's closed door and slowly make my way to the front door, exposing myself to the fresh, cold air once more.
I will get you to socailize one day, I secretly threaten him to myself. One day very, very soon. I laugh at my own stupidity and race myself over to where Katelyn was perched behind a mound of snow, getting ready to plunge some snowballs at some kids face.
