"Are you sure you're okay? You've hardly said a word since we left the hospital?" Kelly asked as he followed her into the apartment.

"Yeah, just super tired. Kinda took it out of me today" she said, sliding her feet from her shoes as she placed them on the rack. "I'm sorry I wasn't up to lunch" she hesitated as he followed her "I kinda just wanted to be here with you".

"No complaints from me, as long as you're okay". He watched her body sink into the couch as she sat, the defeated look on her face, "I can cook us something? Or order? Gabby and Matt are on shift so it's just us to feed".

"Anything, I don't mind." She shrugged as she gave a slight smile "can we talk though, after lunch? I think I need to explain a couple of things".

"Yes, although you don't have to explain anything, not until you're ready" he smiled "I'll make some grilled cheese and we can order takeout later, if that's okay?".

"I do, I need to" she nodded, reassuring herself more than anything. "And yes, grilled cheese sounds good".

Kelly got to pulling the ingredients out of the fridge as Stella stayed sat on the couch, looking over as she watched him. Just taking in every little detail of him, getting lost in her thoughts. Sat thinking about how much he had helped her, how much he cared about her, how much she cared about him, how he made her feel so loved. She loved him. Stella got herself to her feet as she made her way over to him, wrapping her arms around him from behind as he stood grilling, just embracing him as she held onto him, resting her head against his back.

"You okay?" He asked as he plated the first sandwich, moving the pan from the heat as he turned to her, wrapping his arms around her.

She smiled up at him before resting her head onto his chest, "I am, I just needed a hug, to feel you".

"I'm never going to complain at that", softly kissing the top of her head as she held him tight. "Your sandwich is ready babe" he chuckled, "as much as I love this, I don't want it to get cold. We can pick this back up later".

"I'm holding you to that" she giggled a little, "literally". Pulling herself away from him as she picked up the plate, taking herself back to sit on the couch "thank you, for this" she shouted over as she took a bite.

Kelly made his way over as he finished up grilling his sandwich, noticing hers only half eaten. Sitting himself across from her as he flicked through the TV, taking small bites as he found something interesting enough to watch. Stopping at The Bachelor, his new secret guilty pleasure, he thought he could get away with it with Stella loving it so much. She knew he was loving it as much as her.

Kelly got himself up after a while to clean the plates, Stella's eyes not moving from the TV. Kelly gently wrapped his arms around her, stood behind her as she sat on the couch. Placing a soft kiss to her cheek, pulling back a little, his lips still grazing over her skin as he spoke "whatcha thinking about? I can practically hear the cogs turning inside here", nudging her slightly.

"Just stuff, silly stuff really. You. This, the hospital. All of everything" she sighed, her hand placed on his arm.

"Do you want to talk about it now?"

"Can we?" She asked, turning her head slightly to look at him. "It may be pointless stuff, I'd just rather you know so you don't think I'm being off?".
