AUTHOR'S NOTE: Before you start reading this chapter you gotta know that it's quite a short chapter since in this episode we just see Eleven with Kali, how she get's there, how she goes away. I still struggle a bit with setting up a whole storyline for Tessa as character. I'm just trying to make it good for everyone, so summed up. It's gonna be quite a short chapter. and I changed the time line a little bit.
Robin had the day after a really busy day so we couldn't do a lot together. I would first try to go home, to see if anything had changed. At 10 after breakfast I went home, first looked through the window to check. Didn't see anybody, I tried to open the door, it was still left open. Not even locked. ''Joyce? Jonathan? Will? Bob? Anyone here?'' No answer, I walked through the house, I saw the drawing of roots connected literally everywhere. But something had changed since the last time I was here. Cards and names were added, on a heart shaped root there was a name added; lovers lake. I walked further and saw names like: the school, the arcade, library, high school. ''What the..'' What was this. No one was here to explain, I don't think I was supposed to clean up everything so I just left everything were I was. I didn't have a bad headache when I was inside... It must have been the mindflayer that gave me the headache. I kept walking through the house till I knew what the hell those roots meant. After an hour of thinking and walking I knew what the map meant. This was the exact upside down as a map of Hawkins. I knew that it was Hawkins, but different. Was the upside down this big? I knew it was big, but not this big and imagine how big it'll be when it grows...
I couldn't stay long at home, I got bored and had no idea where everyone was. I knew Robin couldn't meet up with me, she'd apply for some jobs at the star court they're building. Sometime I would have to get a job too. Dunno what, dunno when. I guess I'll see. I could go to Hopper and Eleven. I knew they had a fight, but I wanted to go to Eleven really bad. Tell her about Robin, tell her about the smaller demogorgons and everything. She has to know. I want her to know about it, she deserves to know, she can help with the mindflayer. So I went to Hopper's cabin in the woods and hoped that she'd be there or at least Hopper. I knocked the 'special, secret' knock, No one opened... I did it again. No answer. ''Anyone home? Ellie? Hopper?'' Why was everyone gone where I wanted to go. I opened the door from inside and let myself in. It was a fucking mess in there. Where were the 2 of them? When I walked into the kitchen I saw a note from Hopper saying: 'At the lab, it ain't going good with Will.' shit, that's were they all were probably. The lab was too far away to get to with the bike... First I'd find Eleven. I wanted to find her, so I ripped a curtain and made a blindfold out of it. The tv was broken, but I did find a radio. I hope this worked cause this part of my power isn't as good as Eleven's, the locating people is her thing. Mine is probably the mind reading, Eleven can't do that, but it takes a lot of my energy. So I grabbed the radio and found a channel that was just noise. I put the blindfold on and tried to go to the void. I didn't do it that often, but all of the times were with El, so our powers were combined, but I really wanted to find her. I grabbed a picture from her that I found in her room, sat down and tried to shift to the void.
It took me almost an hour, but I got there, now I just had to find Eleven. That luckily didn't take long, I didn't know if it was Eleven till I saw her, I didn't recognize her because of her clothes. How did she look so much older in just a couple of days difference? Make up and new clothes can do a lot. Her brown hair was slicked back, she wore eye-liner, mascara, eye shadow and something that'd made her lips darker. She was standing with another girl. I felt like I knew her, but I couldn't recognize her. ''Kali'' Eleven said. That must be the name of the girl. ''Jane.'' Jane? Who the hell was Jane. But Eleven nodded. Jane... That must be Eleven's real name before Brenner took her. Jane... It's a really beautiful name, what was mine... I always went with the name Tessa since I found out it was the greek translation of 4, my subject number. I would do a lot to figure out my real name... But not now. The sight of the void started to glitch. ''No NO NO!'' I concentrated again on Eleven and she came back. ''Where are you Ellie. Please tell me...'' Eleven turned her head and was staring at me right now. I don't know whether she was looking at someone else or something else, but then she said: ''Tessie...'' She was talking to me, Eleven was talking to me. ''Who is Tessie?'' The girl with the name Kali asked. I ignored dealing with the fact that Kali couldn't hear or see me (hopefully) ''Please come home Ellie, we miss you and there are people going to die. I need your help little sister. I need you.. now.'' ''You... Need me?'' Eleven kept talking to me ignoring Kali. ''I need you, please come home.'' Eleven simple nodded and said. ''I'm coming. I'm coming home.'' ''What do you mean you're going home?'' Kali asked not knowing what just happened. ''My friends... they need me. I'm sorry but I have to go.'' She turned around and left Kali. I lost the contact and woke up from the void with a little pud of blood underneath me and I was exhausted.
But Eleven was coming home.
