I woke up, and yawned. Sleep was calling my name, and I was trying to find it, when it hit me. It was Tuesday. I checked my phone, and sure enough, there were four new texts. One from Skyler, Coco, Ellie, and Sabrina, all saying pretty much the same thing.
To: Willa
Message:
Where are you? It’s mall day!!
Oh shoot!! It was our tradition to go to the mall the third Tuesday of the Month!
I felt like the Energizer Bunny as I shot out of my bed and took the fastest shower humanly possible. I dried my hair, and changed into my jean shorts and a pink cami. I tugged on my grey, AERO shirt, and pulled my hair into a high pony-tail in one swift motion. I moved to my make-up table. I applied brown shimmer eye shadow and sprinkled on some light blush. I smudged some fuchsia BABY LIPS on my not-so-baby-lips, and tore down the stairs. I scarfed down a banana, and slipped on my pink flip-flops before running out the door.
In 10 minutes flat, I was in the mall, at Squeeze, ordering a smoothie, and sitting down with my friends. “So… How’s the birthday girl doing?” asked Sabrina.
Huh? Who's birthday was it? They would kill me when I found out I didn't have a present for them. "Who's birthday is it?" I questioned, and all my friends started laughing.
"Your's!" exclaimed Coco. Was it really that time of year? I guess didn't realize it with all the brain cancer stuff. Or was I forgetting things I've known forever? I tried to wash these thoughts out of my mind by taking a sip of my strawberry-banana smoothie, but it stayed their. My brain was choking. I needed to do something to get my mind off of it.
"So? Do I have presents?" I asked excitedly.
"Whatever you want in this mall is yours!!" Sabrina said like a game show host.
So, off we went. This is what I got.
From Skyler: new pink sweatpants, a phone case with all Coco, Sabrina, Ellie, Skyler, Niall, Liam, Zayn, Harry, Louis, and I on it, and a bracelet that says, "You Light Up My World Like Nobody Else. That's What Make's You Beautiful!" and it actually lit up!
From Coco: A nine pack of studs, a new color of BABY LIPS, and a new pair of sneakers (which I needed desperatly.).
From Sabrina: Red, fuzzy, flip-flop slippers, a One Direction beach towel, and a pair of turquoise, jean shorts.
From Ellie: A pair of new ear buds, a pair of jeggings, and a pair of purple, chandelier earrings.
During our shopping trip, we were swarmed by fans. Everywhere we went, someone wanted an autograph. I had no idea that just because I was Liam's girlfriend I would get swarmed, or that a dressing room could be the most private place in the world. I had a whole new respect for the boys.
We were about to step into Bath and Body Works, when Skyler's phone buzzed. She checked it, and a smile spread across her face. "Coco, Sabrina, Ellie, we need to go." she said.
"What about me?" I asked.
"You stay here and shop till you drop," she said, while showing Ellie, Sabrina, and Coco the phone. They all were smiling like they do when they are trying to hide something from me, and I got really nervous. I hate that feeling when your friends know something you don't. I wanted to stalk them, and see where they were going. But that's kind of creepy. Besides! They're my friends! I can trust them.
"Well, OK then," I said. They nearly sprinted away, and I was alone. As if they were on a timer, a new round of fans appeared. I signed 107 more autographs, and took 23 pictures. I counted. I ran into Bath and Body Works before the paparazzi got there.
