"Denki hurry up we're gonna be late!"
"Just a second babe!"
Kamanari shouted as he adjusted his tie in the mirror. It was finally the day of graduation. All the years of hard work have led to this moment. Soon, his class would go off to become real pros saving people with a smile, just like how All-Might taught them. It was a long hard battle to convince the teachers to let him return to UA, but with Aizawa's testimony and his dedication to correct his mistake, he somehow did it and managed to graduate. He opened his door to see Jirou already all dressed up, tapping her foot impatiently with her arms crossed.
"There you are! Now let's go! I don't want to miss Yaomomo's speech"
They hurried off into the auditorium where everyone else was already seated.
"What took you guys so long?"
Ashido whispered as Nezu walked onstage to begin the ceremony.
"This one took forever to get ready"
Jirou teased.
"Quiet! Our beloved principal is speaking"
Iida whispered, shutting them up.
"Today, we say goodbye to a group of students, but hello to a new generation of pros. These third years before you have demonstrated time and time again what it means to be a hero. Their courage and selflessness is unlike anything I have ever seen before in all my years as principal here, and I feel more confident than ever releasing a graduating class into the world. Our society will continue to thrive knowing you brave kids are out there fighting for our lives as you serve this great nation. Now without further ado, let's get the ceremony underway!"
Nezu bowed as the crowd erupted into applause. All-Might, Vlad King, and Eraserhead joined him onstage to assist with the handing out of diplomas. Midnight took the mic as she began reading from the long list of names.
"Yuga Aoyama"
"Of course moi is the first up. My twinkling is just too much for everyone to handle"
Aoyama said as he sauntered up to the podium. He bowed to the teachers before bowing to Nezu who handed him his diploma. Midnight continued reading names.
"Mina Ashido, Tsuyu Asui, Yosetsu Awase, Katsuki Bakugo, Kojiro Bondo"
One by one the students started receive their diplomas. A certification of all the hard work they had put into fulfilling their dream.
"Kyoka Jirou"
Kamanari cheered and whistled as he proudly watched his girlfriend walk the stage. She seemed very cool and collected but she was freaking out on the inside. She showed off her diploma as she sat down, looking happier than ever. Well as happy as when she got together with Kamanari. Since they were only a letter apart, it wasn't long before Kamanari's name was called.
"Sen Kaibara, Togaru Kamakiri, Denki Kamanari"
All of class 1-A stood up and cheered as loud as they could when he got up. Kamanari's smile was so wide as he approached the stage, he thought it would never come off.
"HEY HOW COME YOU GUYS DIDN'T CHEER THIS LOUD FOR ME? THE STRONGEST IN YOUR CLASS!"
Bakugo shouted amongst the applause.
"Because one: you're an asshole, two: not the strongest, and three: think of everything Kamanari has accomplished given his past. All-Might said it himself, he's the sole reason you're alive today"
Midoriya smirked catching an evil death glare from Bakugo. Kamanari chuckled to himself as he bowed to All-Might, who bowed back.
"Congratulations young Kamanari. I'm so proud of you. Look at where you started and where you are now. I can't wait to watch you grow and prosper into the fine hero I know you will become"
All-Might said as he gave him a hug. Kamanari thought getting a hug from All-Might was one of the best feelings in the world. It even rivaled Jirou's hugs.
"Finally I can stop watching those damn cameras"
Aizawa muttered as he bowed to Kamanari, but he was smiling too. In reality, the cameras were removed at the end of the first year. Kamanari had proven he had changed and was more dedicated then ever to becoming a hero.
"Congratulations Kamanari!"
Nezu said in his usual giddily tone as he bowed to Kamanari and handed him his diploma. Kamanari walked off the stage holding his certificate in his hands. His hands were trembling as a single tear fell down onto the paper. He couldn't believe it. Finally after all the pain and misery. After all the lies and deception. He had finally accomplished something good for once, and he was ready to take the next big step in his future. Jirou was waiting for him at the end of the ramp, running into his arms, almost tackling him to the ground.
"I'm so proud of you. I knew you could do it"
She buried her face in his shoulder, letting him know just how much she loved him.
"I guess I'm not that big of a dummy after all"
He chuckled as he pulled away to look at her. Those deep purple onyx eyes that he loved so much staring right back at him.
"No you're still a dummy"
She laughed as Kamanari's face fell.
"But you're my dummy"
She lifted his chin up as she kissed him. Kamanari's smile returned as quick as it left. Receiving any kind of affection from his girlfriend made him smile, no matter how down he was feeling. He pulled in for another hug.
"I love you Kyoka"
He whispered as he kissed the top of her head.
"I love you too Denki"
He heard her whisper back. Still holding onto his love, he looked up at the sky and smiled.
I did it mom and dad. I know I did some things that probably disappointed you, but I'm here now and I'm ready to make a change. Last time I saw you I told you I would become a hero and I did it. I'm gonna be a hero that you'll be proud of when I see you again
