Kamanari flopped on his bed, exhausted after the long day of exploring the school festival. He saw class B's completely original play with absolutely no references to other established works like Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings, ate lots of fancy food, watched the support course demonstration, and even visited a haunted house put on by general studies class C.
As he scrolled through his phone, the low battery notification popped up on the screen. He rolled over groaning in annoyance as he got up to grab his charger. He dug through his backpack to no avail, before turning it over and shaking it vigorously, emptying the contents on his bedroom carpet. He felt a sharp pain in his toe as a small object no larger than this thumb landed on his bare feet. Looking down he saw it was the flash drive Shigaraki gave him before he moved into Height's Alliance.
Oh shit I haven't talked to him in a month!
He forgot all about his charger and scrambled over to his desk, hastily plugging the drive into his laptop as he booted up the secure chat room. There was a host of unread messages that Kamanari never responded to.
Shigaraki: Hey Denki! How's the dorm life treating you?
Shigaraki: Just checking in. You got any new intel for us?
Shigaraki: Denki? You there?
Shigaraki: You better have something good to make up for ignoring me like this
Shigaraki: GODDAMMIT DENKI ANSWER ME!
He scrolled all the way down to the most recent message. It was dated last Monday.
Shigaraki: Your loyalty to this organization is in question. You have until the end of the week
to get back here with some vital information or I'm pulling you off the mission and you will face severe consequences. I don't care about security just get your ass over here or there will be hell to pay!Crap it's already Saturday! Gotta get over there now!
He slammed his laptop closed before grabbing his jacket and dashed out the door, not even removing his USB drive. He sprinted down the stairs and ran off into the night. It was raining and his jacket didn't have a hood but there was nothing he could do about it. There was also another problem. The bar was all the way in Kamino and he didn't bring any money for a train.
Shit shit SHIT WHAT DO I DO?
He frantically looked around before he saw a motorcycle parked in front of a convince store. He ran over to it and tore off the engine cover, using his quirk to hotwire the bike. He pressed down on the clutch desperately trying to get the motorcycle to start.
Cmon cmon work dammit!
He kicked down one last time as the bike roared to life. He breathed out a sigh of relief as he took off flying down the highway. Within half an hour he arrived at the hideout. He pressed the secret button the activated the hidden door that led to the bar. As soon as he entered, the vampiric blonde girl came flying out of nowhere and tackled to the ground, holding a knife to his throat. Her eyes were narrowed and focused but she relaxed once realization dawned over her.
"Who is it Toga?"
Kamanari heard Shigaraki ask.
"The blonde guy who's supposed to be spying on UA for us"
Toga replied as she got off Kamanari, flourishing her knife before sheathing it.
