The only reason why Jisung went back to school on Monday was because his parents came home and forced him to.

After his mom yelled at him to get out of the house he sighed and got up from his bed, took a shower, then put on a black hoodie and a pair of jeans. He brushed his messy hair before putting on some converse (the iconic ones) and walking out of the house.

He didn't even want to think about the amount of makeup work he would have from missing an entire week. Though that was the last of his worries. Avoiding Minho was now going to be a lot harder and he imagined Mina was angry about him missing so much school as well.

Speaking of Mina, he was surprised that she hadn't shown up as he walked into the school like she usually did. But he assumed it was because she stopped waiting for him after a few days.

He walked into his first-period classroom as he usually would and walked up to the teacher's desk as she was grading pictures so he could get his makeup work.

"Oh, hello Jisung" She smiled and turned around in her chair so she could find all of the work he missed. "Why were you out for so long? Is everything okay?"

"Y-yeah, I w-was just sick."

"Well I'm glad you feel better," she said, handing him the folder, "no need to rush yourself to turn it in, I'm sure you'll have a lot of makeup work so just take your time."

"Thank y-you," he said and took the folder to his desk, and started working on some of the work as he waited for class to start.

"Minho, you have to tell us what's wrong. You look horrible and you've visibly looked sad for the past week." Chan said as Minho met them all at their usual spot on Monday morning.

"I can't. It's about Jisung and it's not something I can tell you."

"Wait- he was gone all of last week." Seungmin realized, "have you talked to him at all? Do you know why?"

"No." Minho responded, "he won't answer his phone."

"Did something happen that you know of?" Hyunjin questioned.

"Yeah."

"Maybe he'll be back today. Let's go to class early and check." Seungmin said, trying to cheer Minho up a bit since he had barely spoken at all in the past week, he just seemed spaced out, tired, and paranoid. He really hoped Jisung was back so that Minho would go back to being his usual self that would argue back with him and threaten him. He missed that Minho.

Minho slowly followed behind Seungmin, he doubted that Jisung was going to be back, and getting his hopes up would make it worse.

"See, he's back," Seungmin said quietly as Minho's eyes shot up from the ground to look at the blue-haired boy sitting at his desk writing down notes.

Minho didn't say anything else and silently ran over to where Jisung was sitting and pulled him into an awkward hug.

Jisung stopped writing whatever he was writing and completely froze, he didn't need to look to know who was hugging him and he didn't want to show any sort of reaction.

Minho quickly noticed the scent of dry blood and hugged Jisung tighter.

It's my fault this time, isn't it? He thought to himself.

"I missed you so much," Minho mumbled, ignoring it for now since he couldn't say anything about it anyway. He was honestly just happy that he was still alive considering that he had pretty much convinced himself that he wasn't.

Jisung finally moved his hands to pull Minho's arms away from him as he silently went back to copying down notes.

"Jisung can we please talk?" Minho asked hopefully but Jisung just went back to writing his notes.

Minho sighed, he knew that this was the punishment for forcing Jisung to stay and not listening when Jisung had told him to stop but knowing that there were things bothering the younger and not being able to help at all was worse.

Minho moved to sit down at his desk and noticed Seungmin's confused facial expression as they made eye contact.

He mouthed the words "I deserve it" causing Seungmin to just be even more confused but he decided to just ask him about it later.

Minho was going to try and talk to Jisung again after class ended but he left as soon as the bell rang. Jisung ran to his next class and got pulled into a hug by someone who definitely wasn't Minho this time but it didn't seem like Mina either.

"Where have you been?" He heard a familiar voice ask as the other moved away from him and pouted, "I thought you transferred schools or something and didn't bother telling anyone. And you weren't answering your phone."

"I'm s-surprised you e-even noticed," Jisung said, "but no I was just r-really sick."

"And you didn't bother to respond to your friend who thought they were never going to see you again?" Felix questioned.

"We're friends?" Jisung asked. He had been talking to Felix a lot in their classes that they had together but he still didn't think that Felix would have considered him a friend, much less be worried about him being absent.

"Are we not? We talk to each other a lot and I was going to ask you to hang out with me sometime but then you freaking disappeared."

"R-really?" Jisung asked and tilted his head to the side a bit.

"Yes?" Felix replied, not knowing why Jisung seemed so confused, "do you not want to be friends?"

"No! I m-mean, I d-do I think, b-but I d-didn't know that y-you considered me t-to b-be your friend."

"Okay well, we are friends now so have fun dealing with me. And please never leave for a week again without responding to texts. I'm too clingy for this, my heart can't take it."

Jisung just nodded as they walked into their classroom together.

"Oh yeah, did you hear about Mina getting expelled?"

"She what? W-why?" Jisung questioned, obviously rumors hadn't spread about him, or else he would have noticed stars and whispers by now but he still hoped that it wasn't because of him because that would mean that Minho had told the principal which could lead to way bigger issues.

"No one knows why. She refused to talk about it to anyone. I thought you would know about it though, you guys seem like you were really close."

"I g-guess it's b-because I s-still h-haven't checked my p-phone."

"Dang, were you really that sick?" Felix questioned and Jisung nodded then turned around as class was starting.

Now he couldn't stop wondering why Mina had gotten expelled and it was bothering him a lot. But the only person who could give him answers was the one person he was trying to avoid.

He needed to talk to Minho.
