She walked elegantly, I had come to notice how she walked based on how she was feeling every day. Some days her pace was slow as if she was contemplating something, something that was deeply engraved in her mind, and then other days her pace would be fast, like she was eager to see someone. It had become something to watch her. I knew her, more than she thought, and would ever know. It amazed me how powerful she is, but did she even realize it? She was able at an age that not even the Dark Lord had come to possess it, she could break into the minds of every person around her. Now, years later it did not matter. They could hold every barrier against her, but there thoughts were going through her head effortlessly. That was power. Power that wasnt be used. Wasted.

Then every bit of her life would come into play. She was gifted with a wand, no matter what was thrown at her, she mastered it. The headmaster said she was 'ahead of her time'. You might think that with all of that power she possess, she would recognize danger, or be more cautious. She is not, she never has sensed me. The minute she set foot in this castle, I had started all of this, and no one could ever put the pieces together. How would they? They would have to search for years on years, and all would come up is somebody that is not even there, or was there. I just wanted her, I wanted her to want me, and I planned it all out. I would control myself, and with time it would all come together like a puzzle.

Before that...

I suppose some are confused. Rightfully so. It's not everyday when the most powerful, scarred witch comes back to the source of her pain, yet here she is, more fragile and sensitive than most think. The infamous Black family, one of pureblood, and supremacy, but not her. No! She learned and fought against it, some might think it was stupid of her. How dare she? But no, she looks to her brothers for guidance. What a shame that they wouldnt make it far. None of them. There father was gone, with a mother who valued power over love. They all rotted away, some still rotting, with nothing but death waiting for them.

Her mother Walburga Black was more like Cassie then people think. Back before she met there father she was cunning, sweet in a sense, but still believed in a pureblood family. As the years went she drifted away, losing parts of her, and then marrying Orion Black. She knew one thing going into it all, her family, her children had to be protected, and they would all uphold the family honor at whatever price. One by one her children born, she had never felt love like this for something so fragile, she had to protect it, and if she couldnt.... well, we all know what she eventually did to her oldest. However, what most do not know is that she prayed never to have a girl, she never wanted a life and she never wanted her daughter to submit to one. They all say some prayers go unanswered and this one did. I suppose this could explain her mothers distaste for her. Makes you think? Did she let her go for a better life? Or was it to be rid of a pest?

Now, lets continue to the rest of the family tree.

Sirius Black. The oldest, yet the most despised, even by his own mother. Sorted into Gryffindor, and earned nothing from his family. Of course, he was set up to be doomed. He wanted nothing more for his mother to show him anything, but no, especially not anymore. So he grew up, loathing the idea of his mother, and it didnt help that she had favorites either. It is said that the child that puts in more to be loved will grow up without it, and Sirius was that case. That was until he befriended Remus Lupin, James Potter, Peter Pettigrew. They gave him hope, and that hope is what seperated him finally from his family. A decision that would ultimately lead to something that he would never suspect.

Regulus Black. The heir yet he was the youngest. Sorted into Slytherin, rightfully so. He was everything Walburga wanted, she would yelp at any source of danger coming to him, and yet the notion came. Regulus was a Death Eater, but his mother loved that, how could she be so keen to protect him but throw him into the fire. Regulus was a lost cause from the beginning. The middle child, forced to be what his older brother could not. Forced to be the protecter in his own way. A decision that he put on him self. He wanted a better life for his sister, one that would not have the Dark Lord tainting it, and little did Cassie know that was how he ended up in that cave that night.
