Chapter 14
He was on his way to work when someone blocked his way.
A black Ferrari.
The car in front of him is quite unfamiliar.
As far as he know, wala naman itong nilalabag na batas. He follows all the safety precautions in driving.
They were facing each other now.
“Attorney Lucas will be great, ” Attorney Lucas insisted, then smiled.
“If you won't mind me asking... What are you doing here, Attorney? I mean... what do you need? You cannot possibly appear in front of me without any reason, am I right?” mahabang litanya ni Attorney Collins, as a matter of fact.
He cannot think of anything, other than that. We are not that close too to share greetings.
His eyes were emotionless, his aura holds superiority and his gaze... His gaze were intimidating.
Manghang na patingin si Attorney Lucas kay Attorney Collins.
“You sure had a great mind. You can easily grip the situation and put the pieces back to the box as fast as you can,” nakangising saad ni Attorney Lucas.
“What do you need?” nagtitimping tanong ulit ni Attorney Collins, totally ignoring attorney Lucas' remarks/compliment or whatever you called it. He was too close to losing his patience. He has no time for this.
He was just standing there, Attorney Collins I mean. Towering Attorney Lucas with his presence. Who would not be shaken? His aura... His intimidating aura.
Nakakapanindig balahibo. His uttering those with a plain emotion and a poker-faced. Indeed, an emotionless statue in a human form.
“Right. U-Uhm... I just want to inform you that I-I uhmm... Spending months of vacation here with my family. If you have some time to spare, feel free to visit me. It will be highly appreciated,” Attorney Lucas responded. His currently avoiding Attorney Collins' gaze. Gone are his joyful and playful personality.
Attorney Grey Collins' was too much for him to handle. It made him feel like cracking a joke to him is a sort of a crime.
His sweating hard.
