Chapter 24
“Welcome to our law firm, Attorney Rouge Dwayne. It is indeed an honor to have you here with us. Feel free to roam around,” Attorney Collins welcomed.
It feels like the weigh he was carrying throughout the years has been lifted up. For how many years he have been working hard, it will be his first time to take a leave for a longer time. And it feels so good to be freed from work.
Today is Attorney Collins' first day of briefing Attorney Dwayne about everything he needs to do while he is on his leave.
He toured Attorney Dwayne to their office to help him familiarize the place. Mula sa opisina nila at sa magiging kasamahan niya.
“This will going to be your desk,” tukoy niya sa malinis na desk niya na ngayon.
Before leaving his desk yesterday, he made sure to clean it up before he let Attorney Dwayne take over.
Pasado alas dose nang madaling araw na siya natapos sa pag-aayos ng gamit at paghahanda ng mga kakailanganing papers for references for the future cases that will be handled by the new attorney-in-charge, Attorney Rouge Dwayne.
“Attorney Bea Fernandez,” tukoy niya sa kasamahan, hindi kalayuan sa kanila.
Attorney Fernandez was in her usual pencil skirt, a long sleeve tucked in her skirt and not-so-high heels.
She was such a beauty in the crowd with her innocent twinkling eyes to its cute little smile.
But nevertheless, you cannot recognize her in front of the court for she is aggressive towards her counterpart. Like a mad dog who bites people cluelessly.
Attorney Fernandez bowed. “Enjoy your stay here, Attorney Dwayne.” She smiled, welcoming the new lawyer of their firm.
“Thank you for that, Attorney Fernandez. Looking forward to be working with you,” he responded.
Good thing, the two ladies are easy to get along well. Madali silang mapaglagayan ng loob at madaling pakisamahan.
“And this is Attorney Rachel Santiago,” pagpapakilala ni Attorney Collins sa isa pa nilang kasamahan.
Attorney Rachel Santiago, on the other hand, smiled timidly. Despite her cheerful personalities, she cannot act the same in front of new faces. She act shy to someone she met for the first time.
Nahihiya kasi itong magkamali sa harap nila. She wanted their first impression of her to be smooth taking and a good one.
But then, as the time goes by, she will let herself be comfortable with them. And show them how she crazily and recklessly act on her daily basis of life. That's her and her fighting spirit.
“Nice meeting you, Attorney Dwayne,” Attorney Santiago greeted.
“Nice meeting you too, Attorney Santiago,” Attorney Dwayne greeted back.
