Chapter 21
“Nah, he cannot do that. Suicide, really? That's absurb!” Treton exclaimed as a matter of fact.
He just cannot grasp the idea of Mr. Aaron doing that, if ever. Nakasama niya ito sa loob ng ilang taon and without any doubts, they can confidently say that he cannot do that or rather not to. He was not a man like that, the Mr. Aaron they knew despised that idea the most.
“He loves his life too much. He even gave us an earful one time when we were too close on giving up on our lives,” Cheska butted in, after being silent for a long time.
She stated it smiling as she vividly recalled what happened in the past, how Mr. Aaron Lee lectured them when he was still alive. She remembered it crystal clear like it only happened yesterday. Those kind of memories are one of a kind, a rare memories that is worth keeping.
They were too busy as they were. They do not even have the luxurious time to wander around and take a rest.
Cheska smiled bitterly as the memories of the past came flashing to her mind. It was a bittersweet kind of memory.
“Mr. Amfed Lee, his brother, we were not that close but we encountered and met him a lot of times together with Kuya Aaron. Hindi siya ganoong klaseng tao... He cannot kill someone, that's for sure. Not his own brother, not anyone,” Blake uttered confidently as he stared directly at the two pair of coal black eyes of Attorney Grey Collins.
Convincing him to believe him as he had seen it before, with his own eyes.
They are with him during those years and they witnessed and experienced how optimistic Mr Aaron was.He was like an angel in human form. He always see good things in people, that even despite the fact how wicked a person is, there is still an ounce of goodness in him or in her. He believes in a goodness of a person.
They met on their convenient time. Attorney Collins and the three of them, together in a closed place that Mr. Jared preferred for them. Mr. Robert Winston was the one who contacted Mr. Aaron Lee's colleagues and Mr. Jared was the one who prepared a place for them to meet. Dion and Race went along with Mr. Jared.
It's a nature-loving place kung saan ito nakatayo.
Private investigator Jared, Mr. Robert Winston, Race and Dion were all inside the car, waiting for the meeting to end. They gave them the privacy to talk, just the four of them. The lesser number of meeting participants, the easier they caught the traitor among the group, if ever there is.
“Would they be okay?” Mr. Robert asked in the midst of silence, breaking the gloomy aura that sorround them at the moment.
Just a little longer, after two more trials and they will wrap up everything.
