Forth put back Beam's torn pants and shirt, then covered it with a jacket. Beam was as pale as paper and he was grimacing from crying the whole way through.

Forth suspects a fracture to Beam's ribs. He bit his lower lip hard to hold back his anger. Beam didn't dare look at Forth in the slightest.

Forth was carrying Beam aside when suddenly Stiff kicked him in the back. Beam slipped from Forth's grip and was thrown against the wall. He fell like a wet cloth to the warehouse floor and passed out. Ford turned around.

Stiff snickered as he pointed at Beam on the floor. "So you decided to come alone to save your little bitch, eh, Forthie? Do you know who he really is? Do you know what he did to you all these years behind your back?"

"Don't reproach him, Stiff. What you've been doing so far is far more disgusting."

"That Beam is just a perverted doctor with a horrible past. I heard he once sold his body just to pay for his tuition. Aren't you disgusted with him, Forthie?"

"Why be disgusted? I've seen far dirtier and nastier trash over the years. You and Rose. Beam ain't nothing filthy, if you call him disgusting, with you guys."

"I thought you weren't gay," Stefan sneered with a disgusted snort.

Forth laughed and pointed at Stiff. "You even tried to rape a guy who obviously rejected you in the past and rejects you again now, even though you've just fucked a cheap woman who's now pregnant with your child."

Stiff growled, lost in the debate and offended by Forth's cold remarks.

"You must think you're smart, Forthie. You don't know who you're up against."

Forth raised an eyebrow and snorted. "I know what you and Rose are up to. Trust me, your plan isn't going well at all."

Forth approached Beam and took his right hand. "Look. This ring will thwart your plans, whatever it is."

Stiff looked at Beam's hand in confusion. It was only a few moments later that he realized what Forth meant.

Stiff shouted angrily and reached for his cell phone. He touched a few pictures and screamed frantically into the phone. "Rose? Get out of there. Now!"

Stiff tries to attack Forth. He charged towards Forth and delivered several punches and kicks. Fights are inevitable.

Forth felt a bit overwhelmed as he had to protect Beam as well. On one occasion, when Stiff was caught off guard, Forth managed to kick his head and knock Stiff back down.

Beam slowly opened his eyes. Couldn't fully open because of the wound and swelling on his face. He stared at Forth's broad back in front of him.

Beam's hands trembled as he tried to touch Forth's shoes.

"Baby," Forth shouted when he felt a touch on his ankle. He stared for a moment at Stiff's body lying still on the floor in front of him. He seems to have fainted. There was blood running down his head.

Forth knelt beside Beam and rubbed Beam's arm. He did not dare to move or lift Beam's body for fear that his bones might be broken or cracked.

Forth took his cell phone from his jacket pocket to call Ming, however, Beam's hand gripped his hand tightly.

Forth looked at Beam. "I'm getting you out of here, Baby. Just be patient a little longer. I'll have Max call an ambulance."

"W-what about the twins?" asked Beam with difficulty.

"Don't worry about them. Dren saved them," Forth replied softly. "You need to go to the hospital immediately."

"N-no need, honey. I'm fine. This is what I deserve after lying to you for so long. I'm sorry, honey. I love you too much and Stefan might be right, I'm obsessed with you so I did everything embarrassing just to get close to you. I didn't meant to intrude on your private space."

Ford smiled. He bent down and kissed Beam's wet forehead. "I understand. Let's not talk about it yet. We'll talk about it later, after you get treatment."

"You're still Forth who gave me the shoes and drove me home," Beam muttered. His tears flowed. "I've loved you ever since. I even have the shoes and socks you gave me."

Forth tilted his head. He tried to digest Beam's words. "Shoes?"

"Yes. White sneakers and light blue socks. You also told me to eat more because you thought I was too skinny."

Forth looked closely at Beam. He squeezed Beam's hand and looked at him in disbelief.

"You... the pretty boy carrying the sack of rice?"

Beam smiled and nodded.

"Oh, Baby, you have no idea how much I've been trying to find you again since then. You didn't say your name and I don't know where you really live."

Stiff heard the conversation of the two people in front of him. He resisted the urge to scream in pain and groped under his jacket. "You two sicken me with cheap love stories,"

Forth turned and was surprised to see Stiff already standing with a gun in his hand. Beam also gasped.

Stiff hissed as he pointed a gun at Forth. "You'd better say goodbye to each other right away."

Stiff moved the gun and tilted his head at Beam. "Just leave that little slut to me, Forthie, and I'll go quietly. That's the best solution for both of us I think. You don't have to spend time and money trying to sue me in court. After all, your wealth is limitless, you won't go bankrupt because lost some of what I took."

Forth laughed mockingly. "You sound like a perverted beggar, Stiff."

There was a rattling of the door being knocked outside and Max's voice calling out Forth's name. Stiff sounded panicked. Forth took the opportunity to approach Stiff, but unexpectedly, Stiff pulled the trigger of the gun that was still aimed at Forth.

Forth waited for the bullet to hit his chest, but instead of the bullet, Forth felt he was being pushed backwards. The next second, Beam's body fell on him. A hole gaped in Beam's side belly and his blood seeped down Forth's clothes.

Max and Ming grabbed Stiff quickly. They stared at Forth and Beam on the floor.

Forth touched Beam's stomach and his tears flowed. "Beam, wake up, Baby, what are you doing?"
