3rd person POV-
Athena loved the date she had with Paul, it was so relaxing and felt like home. She felt that way with all of them. They were her safe place. That's why when Jacob had asked her out next, she was beyond excited.
She's been wanting to see him in the garage fixing cars since he told her about it. So when he told her to dress in clothes that are okay to be dirty, she was beaming with happiness.
Now Athena doesn't know much about cars or bikes, she just knows that they get you from one place to another. So this date was going to be interesting to say the least. Athena got dressed like she was asked and was now waiting to be picked up by Jacob.
As she was thinking about all the cool possibilities Jacob had in mind she heard his truck pulling into the drive way. She decided to meet him outside instead of him coming to the door. She locks the door behind her and walks towards the truck as Jacob stops in his tracks as he sees her.
"Hey, I was going to meet you up at the house." Jacob says to Athena, confused as to why she was outside. His date wasn't as romantic as he knew the others were and he felt bad. Well more awkward than anything else because he knew Athena was interested in his hobbies, he just didn't want to fall short compared to the other guys.
"I know, I just was super excited to start the date and I figured it would save time from you walking up to the house and back. So if you really think about it, I'm doing us both a favor." Athena says cheerfully, watching Jacobs reactions to her words. He smiles and nods his head.
"Okay then, in that case we should get going. I wouldn't want to waste your excitement." He laughs and holds her hand before walking them both to his truck. He opens the door for her and makes sure she's settled before shutting the door.
In no time they were back at Jacob and Billy's house and heading for the garage. Inside was 1967 Chevy Camaro, a stunning car all around just a bit old and some minor problems. Billy was lucky to find the beauty at an auction a few towns over. Figured it would be worth more after it's fixed up.
(I know nothing about cars, I just chose one I liked so again I know nothing about cars and I'm sorry if anything I write in these scenes are incorrect...Okay, carry on.)
"So this is the beauty we will be fixing today!" Jacob says excitedly. He's happy he can share this with her. Athena looks at the car in front of her, she loves it! Granted she hasn't been around many cars lately but this one is beautiful.
"Woah, it's really cool!" She says back in equal excitement, and with that the two spent hours working on the car. Well Jacob did, Athena watched and helped by handing him certain tools.
"Okay, I need the wrench next." He says without thinking she may not know what that is. Athena looks at all the tools in front of her, totally lost on which one he's talking about. Jacob notices and wanted to smack himself for being so dumb.
"It's the one that almost looks like a crab claw, but silver." Jacob tells her in a way she may understand better. Which helped, she picked it out immediately, handing it to him with a smile. His heart sped up at her smile.
"How did I get so lucky? I have such a stunning imprint." Jacob thought to himself, smiling back at her before turning towards the car again. After a few hours the duo started to get hungry so they call it a night on the car and headed inside. Walking up to the house holding hands Athena decided to start a conversation.
"You always tell me about you fixing cars and other stuff and you always made it seem fun but not amazing, but that was really cool!" She states with a smile and a laugh, looking at him in awe.
"Really? I mean I never thought much of it. I'm glad you liked it!" Jacob tells his imprint, beaming with happiness that she's into one of his hobbies.
"Liked it? I loved it! How do you remember how to do everything, I mean no way I could remember where everything goes and how to tell what's wrong with it. Can we do this again?" She asks him, hopefully.
"Of course!" He says, wrapping an arm around her before they walk inside.
"What are you hungry for? I can order a pizza or we can trying making something. I can't promise I won't burn it though." He says sheepishly.
"I wouldn't mind pizza, it's super good!" Athena decides after seeing Jacobs lack of confidence about making food.
"Oh thank goodness, I was hoping you would say that!" Jacob says before kissing her forehead and getting the phone to place and order. Athena sits on the couch and turns on the tv, making herself at home like she's been told to do many times.
"The pizza should be here in about 30 minutes." Jacob tells Athena before lifting her legs from the couch and placing them on his lap. Athena says okay, and smiles.
"I had a lot of fun today, it was nice spending time with you just us two." He says while looking at Athena, she blushes and looks down.
"Yeah, me too. I can't wait to do it again." She says
They talked about random things for a while, Athena goes to talk and as she does the door bell rings. Jacob gets up to get the pizza and trips on the rug as he does so. Resulting in him face planting on the floor. Athena gasps before letting out a laugh when she notices he's okay.
Jacob playfully glares at her before pushing himself off the floor to answer the door. Athena is still dying with laughter even after Jacob paid for the pizza and put it on the counter. He just watches her laugh and fall on the couch. Smiling to himself at the sight, shaking his head before laughing too.
"My stomach! I can't, that was so funny. You should have seen your face!" She lets out as she catches her breath. She looks up and sees Jacobs face. Blank of any emotion, but she can see the love and mischief in his eyes. Athena's eyes widen as she realizes why.
"I should start running now shouldn't I?" She asks him before running as he nods. He gives her a 10 second head start before chasing after her. Laughing as he does so. He is so in love with Athena Sage.
Authors note- HELLO! I'm so so sorry that I haven't updated in a long while. I had chapters written up and as I published them, they disappeared! Like completely gone, leaving me to have to rewrite all of them! It took me a while to remember what each date/chapter was about and who was in it. So I apologize big time for the wait, but I hopefully should have no more trouble going forward.
