Hailey sat in the hospital room alone, hands turning pages of a book Bella had brought her. She looked out the window. She let out a sigh. Today Charlie had to go looking for the wolves Bella had spoke of and Bella had gone to speak to Jacob. She sat alone for the first time in a while.

Slowly she got out of the bed and walked towards the window. She slightly shivered due to the cold floor. She looked over towards the small nightstand near her bed, the charm bracelet she had planned to give Jacob sat there. On one hand she was ecstatic to met the person who was there for her sister and wanted to give him something in return but on the other hand she held a grudge for the way he had treated her. After becoming a shapeshifter he had acted cold towards Bella.

Hailey opened the window and placed it on the window and closed her eyes. "I really hate you Jake." She threw the small bracelet. Deep inside she knew she didn't hate him but after doing that dramatic scene she usually saw on tv she was not going to admit that.

Closing the window she moved to lay back down when she saw red hair pass by the hospital. Red eyes making eye contact with her brown ones. Hailey froze. She knew who that woman was. That was the same person who wanted to hurt Bella.

Before she could react the woman was gone as if she was never there in the first place. As if she had seen what was needed to be seen and then fled.

Hailey continued to look out, eyes wide with fear. She tried to call out to her sister, to her father, to Paul, to anyone but her voice didn't come out. Her hands trembled.

A pale hand reached out and grabbed her shoulder. Hailey screamed as tears fell. She closed her eyes tightly.

Bella looked at her with worry, calling out to her. "Hailey? Hailey! It's me, Bella." The brunette slowly moved away but the younger child grabbed her hand.

Hailey looked at her with red eyes, "Belle-" she began to sob. Her arms wrapped tightly around her. Suddenly she felt a chill run up her spine. Something was going on.

"Hailey? What happened?" Bella asked in a soft tone while running her fingers through her hair. Her other hand patted her back.

Hailey pulled away slightly and looked at Bella, "the bad woman was outside. Something bad is going to happen." Hailey quickly hugged her sister again.

Bella froze for a moment before continuing to comfort her sister. This was bad. Victoria had been around her, no, she had been around people she cares about. She was around the hospital where Hailey was recovering. She wanted to make a statement.

She wanted Bella to know she was here. She wanted her to feel fear for her love ones.

After a while Hailey had fallen asleep. As soon as Bella made sure she was asleep she made sure to call Jacob. He would know about what was going on. If Jacob didn't answer she could always call Paul. She will get answers.

"Bella?" Jacob had picked up. Bella sigh in relief.

"Jacob, do you have any news? On Victoria, my father or anything else in that area?" She had to be sure not to mention vampires or shapeshifters incase Hailey suddenly woke up.

"...about that..."

Bella went pale. Something had happened.

"Harry died."

Bella went wide eyed. She was relieved it wasn't her father but felt shame for feeling that way.

"How?"

"He had a heart attack. He encountered that red head alone. I arrived on time but he must have been startled which lead to a heart attack." Jacob explained as he looked over towards Sam who had gathered everyone around at his fathers home.

"About that..." She turned to look towards Hailey. "Hailey saw her. When I arrived she said that saw Victoria was outside the hospital and that...that something bad was going to happen."

There was silence. Jacob looked surprised at what he was hearing.

"...she what?"

"She saw Victoria and somehow knew something bad was going to happen."

Jacob was stunned. Although it wasn't a lot of information it was still a lot to process. Hailey saw the red-head vampire and somehow knew that something was going to go wrong.

"She was crying when I arrived. I-I think she might have a bad feeling about her. She doesn't know her but she knows she's dangerous."

Jacob scoffed, "of course she does. Anyone with a working mind would know that vampires are dangerous. Unconsciously or otherwise."

Bella almost cured at him, "The point is that Victoria wants to make a statement. Almost as if telling me to be careful. She is showing up around people I care about."

"Do you think she wants to hurt them to hurt you and leave you for last? That's...that's kind of dramatic."

Bella glared at the wall as if Jacob was that wall. "It may be dramatic but you can't deny the possibility."

"Listen, for now stay with Hailey. I'll be sure to discuss something with Sam so you two aren't alone especially Hailey."

Bella nodded before responding with a okay and hung up. Bella walked over towards Hailey and brushed her hair out of her face.

"I promise to protect you. No one will hurt you."
