Hailey laid with a blanket wrapped around her small frame. Eyes closed, breath evened. Bella glances over towards her before parking her truck. She quietly left her car, approaching the small home.

Bella knocked. Silence.

She knocked once more, impatiently. Finally the door swings open. Billy looked up at her confused.

"Billy, I know Jake's sick but-" Bella quickly said, glancing quickly towards her car.

Billy looked over before meeting her eye. "He's out with friends." He cut her off. Bella looked taken aback. She quietly muttered an oh. "I'll let him know you stopped by."

Bella slowly realized something. Jacob was suppose to be sick. "Doesn't he have mono?" She almost accused. "You told my dad that."

Billy almost looked at her with pity, "you should go home. It's not good for you or the child to be out in the rain." He closed the door.

Bella glared at his door before turning and walking back towards her truck. She got on, looking over towards the now awake child.

"We're going to wait for Jake, alright?" Bella informed her with a small smile, placing a soft hand on her cheek. Hailey nodded.

There was a sudden knock on the driver side window, scaring both girl. Bella turned, eyes landing on a tall, buff tan skinned male.

Bella got off her truck, looking up at him. "You cut your hair." She pointed out.

Cold eyes stared her down, "go away." He simply stated.

Glancing behind him she could see Sam, Jared, Paul, and Embry. They all wore minimum clothes even as the rain poured. Deep in thought she almost didn't notice Jacob turn away.

Quickly she grabbed his arm, trembling. "Jake, what happened to you?" She asked with worry. "I can help."

Jacob didn't turn towards her, hiding his hard features. He shakes his head as his only response.

Bella sighed. "Sam got to you?" Bella tightened her grip slightly. "What did he do? Jake, please, talk to me."

"Sam is trying to help me, don't blame him."

Bella tried again. "Then who?"

Jacob let out a sarcastic chuckle, "how about those filthy, reeking bloodsuckers that you love!" He pulled his arm away and spat out a single name. "The cullens."

Bella flinched slightly, trying to act clueless about it. "W-what? I-I don't know what you are talking about."

Jacob was now shaking with anger. "Oh, you know exactly what I'm talking about." He refuted.

Bella finally admitted to it. "They are long gone! How are they to blame?"

Jacob scoffed, "they started all this by existing! Goddamn leeches-"

"Jacob."

The said boy glanced over towards the older man - Sam. He gave him a pointed look. Jacob took a deep breath.

Hailey looked down at her hands, waiting though she could almost hear her sisters broken voice. Finally she couldn't take it anymore.

Hailey opened the door, a glare on her brown eyes as she walked towards Bella. Her eyes never moving away from Jacob. "Belle, let's go." She said, grabbing her hand.

Bella looked down worriedly. Bella picked her up, trying to protect her from the rain. "Hailey, I told you to stay in the car."

The younger Swan didn't look over towards her at all, eyes still glaring at the older boy. "Belle, you don't need a fake friend. Let's go." She was tempted to hit him but decided against it.

Jacob looked at her surprised. Sadness deep inside his eyes. He knew who the small girl was but now he had given her a bad impression. "Yes, leave."

Jacob turned and finally left.

Bella called out to him, voice cracking with sadness.

Deciding that her sisters health was worth more she turned and got on her truck, making her way home.

Upon arriving she made sure Hailey took a warm bath, before putting her to bed. Slowly making her way towards her room. However, Hailey sat up once she was out of the room.

"I promise to make you happy, Belle."
