chapted 21 / deadly duo

"Is that Doc Ock circling the control tower? There's no telling what damage that maniac can do with the time stone hand!" Fury declared.

"Then we better get it before he does!" Kitty jumped in, leading the other four she was directed to take in straight into the building.

On this little squad they had going on, stood: Kitty, Peter (Spiderman), Scott, Emma, and Star-lord, the others staying back to hopefully pull some prisoners towards them instead of towards the squad of 5.

Once they got in, they were sure to just get in, do their thing, and get out. The guy who they're facing sounds like a maniac with a warped mind, which is a little frightening not knowing what he's planning on.

There were luckily only a few prisoners here and there, and they were briefed by Quill as they went along.

Their first actual conflict came when they had to go through a containment room to get through to the other side of the building. Of course this place was for elite prisoners, so if they had to be put into their own room it was concerning, but nothing they couldn't handle.

As they went in, a murderous laugh echoed the hollow ceilings, a four metaled-armed man the source, as he reigned, "You're right on time fools! The chaos has just begun! This facility will soon be under my control... I'll amass the greatest army of villains ever! And you get the honor of being our first victims!" the man yelled, disappearing out the door and closing it behind him, leaving them locked in the room with two cells opening, the sinister symbiote Venom descending from one, and Electro from the other.

Venom was quick to jump to the ceilings, spitting down dark spots of Venom that totally messed you up if you get caught in one, whereas Electro was operating the ground.

"Ha! Now that I'm out of that cell, I plan to stay out!" Electro boomed, sending a wave of lighting towards Scott, momentarily making him immobile due to the wave of shock.

"Hey! Psst! Kat over here!" Spiderman whispered, as Kitty looked at him with a "we're fighting right now!"
look, "Please!"

"Fine!"

"I need you to distract the guy... you can't absorb his energy meaning he's gonna keep his eyes on you and wait until your molecular manipulation levels are low. While he's at it I'm gonna get in from behind and take him out, got it?"

"Yeah, but what about those three?" she asked, quickly dodging a wad of Venom as they looked at Scott, Emma, and Quill.

"I think they'll catch on..."

"This better work!" she sighed, running towards Electro and grabbing his attention, as he sent out a bolt of shock which channeled right through her, while she prepared to smack him right across that amped-up head of his.

Once he got a grip, he formed into a ball of energy and started ricocheting off walls, and if you were hit with that thing you were 100% considered immobile after it.

As everyone barked orders at each other, Kitty looked for a different perspective. Quickly, she observed his pattern and caught Venom's attention, as a piece of black goo spat down and absorbed her shoes, Electro walking right into her trap as he slowed down as well.

Once the energy shield was gone, Kitty gave him one wack across the face as Peter kicked through him from behind, sending him into the wall as he settled back down on his knees, as he evidently clung onto his life.

"We'll swallow you alive before we let you abandon us Electro!" Venom boomed, jumping down from his wall and forming into some sort of whale thing, swallowing Electro whole as his energy absorbed Venom.

"Yeah I think we have a bigger problem here!" Scott shouted, a beam of red descending from his eyes.

"You know if you could get him to look over here I may be able to telepathically shut him down!" Emma yelled, dodging a black web shot towards her.

"She's right, now that he's all amped up our powers aren't working on him!"

"Which way do you want him?" asked Quill.

"Facing me!"

"Well yeah-!"

"Are you that incompetent you can't see which way she's facing? Now get him to look over and then move!" Kitty yelled.

As Peter webbed one of his hands to the wall and Scott blasted a red beam, he finally locked eyes with the telepath and visually started to break down. Though his symbiote clouded his actual appearance you can physically see him starting to get drowsy and weak, as Emma still looked as model-like as possible after shutting down such things.

"Well that went better then I thought." Quill said.

"Expect anything less, darling?" Emma replied, strutting over to Venom who was fighting for his life.

"What exactly did you do to him?" Kitty asked.

"Oh simply just cut his brain in half!"

They all looked at her like she was crazy.

"I'm kidding." she spat.

Peter quickly jumped down in front of him, separating Venom and Emma, "He's had enough..."

"You know this guy?" Scott asked.

"Look... I know my pal Eddie here looks like a bad death metal version of me."

"Your pal!" Quill exclaimed.

"But under all that rippling xenomorphic protoplasm is a guy who wants to do what's best. Usually. He may seem lethal, but when the world really needs him... he always chooses to protect it."

"You... would trust us? After this? Then we will fight with you, little Spider... And once the world knows who it's one true champion is," Venom held up a finger, "We will devour you whole!" he screeched, getting in Peter's face who automatically backed up.

"Eh. I'll take what I can get."
