In a dimension different from where Rimuru lives. Actually, this moment is when Rimuru isn't in this world yet. It happens before Zegion and Apito came to the material world.

Yes, this is the Underworld!

Thousands of years ago, before the rebellion happened.

Many Insectars were living in despair. The low-ranking Insectars were treated as slaves and can't live normally like the High-Ranking Insectars. It was because the Worm-King believes that only the strong is the one worthy of living in this world, or rather in their world.

And because many were treated as slaves, they want change, they want freedom, and they want power. In their whole life, the only thing that they've ever learned was that 'Power is everything in this world'. And that is the reason why they worked hard just to increase their lifestyle. That is also the reason why the Insectar race was so powerful that they were feared, and if anyone of them comes to the Cardinal world, the humans will do everything they can just to ensure that the Insectars coming to Cardinal world were annihilated. Because they are strong, too strong!

Even the Phantoms can't really match the raw strength of this creatures. And the ambition of the worm-king to invade the Cardinal world, will surely give despair to humanities.

Because of this ambition, the Insectar race prepares to invade the Cardinal world and to widen the gate to the Cardinal World. To destroy the other races, to only the strong to live in this world, for the insectars to rule this world, that is the ambition of the Worm-King 'Zelanus', the strongest Insectar and the absolute one of the underworld.

And the subjects of Zelanus will obey their king for he is absolute and no one can fight him or outmatch him. Zelanus isn't just a muscle brain bastard, but also an intelligent King that is blessed by Veldanava.

With Zelanus as their leader, they will prepare for the invasion and to prepare for the war. And no one really thought that there will be revolution among the Insectar race

In a cave-like place in the underworld, there are insectars gathering there to prepare for something.

And the people leading this gathering was Razul, one of the 12 commanders of the insectar race. And of course Zegion and Apito are also here, but they are yet to gain a name, so they are called Worm-Prince and Worm-Queen. Razul is the same as Zegion who has yet to receive a name.

[Now that all of us are here, let's start the meeting!]

With Razul cue they started the meeting and talked about the revolution that they want to happen among the Insectars.

They plan on doing a Coup, and kill the king. They are tired of being a slave for the strong and they don't want to wipe out the other races for they believe that co-existing with them was the best choice. They are tired of war. Even in the underworld, there are a lot of war going on, the war against the Phantoms and against the strongest race, the Cryptids.

But if they can't get a chance to kill the King, then they have to change the plan. If they failed on killing the King, they plan on widening the gate to the cardinal world themselves and go there with just the members of the Revolutionary Team.

With their strength right now, there's no way they can beat the Worm-King and its army. That's why they need to devise a plan to outsmart the King and Kill him.

Razul is the only one strong enough to handle at least 2 commanders at once, but the others will just die if they even tried to fight those guys themselves. Zegion and Apito are no exception either, they are still not that strong during this time and can only rely on Razul who is the strongest among them.

Zegion knows how strong the worm-king really is. He's strength even when he is just playing around was as strong as Velgrynd's, and that's too much of a foul! Zegion said to Rimuru that Zelanus was as strong as Velgrynd, but that's only when he is not fighting for real! Meaning he can just beat Velgrynd without breaking a sweat. And his full strength is unknown, because no one was able to let Zelanus exert his full power in a fight. He's just too strong!

It's not just Zelanus, but also his trusted commanders who are troublesome people. They are so strong and of course, the members of the Revolutionary Team was no match to them, even if all of their members fight against them.

That is why they must plan smartly and outsmart the king to kill him! And even if they can't get a chance to kill the king they just need to widen the gate to the cardinal world to be free. So they must not force themselves.

After a few years they still didn't have a chance to kill the King that's why they changed their plans to expanding the gate and focus there. Their strength are also higher now, but still, compared to the commanders they are still weak.

And while they were expanding the gate to the cardinal world, Razul drop a shock bomb.

All of them were shock, but also happy. Because they can now build their settlement there even though they were yet to come there.

And so they accepted that Razul wouldn't be there to protect them.

[Now that I am going there, Worm-Prince-sama and Worm-Queen-sama! Please lead and protect our brethren]

And so they send Razul away and hope for him to get all of them to the cardinal world.

But, fate really is cruel. Razul was caught for betraying the King but fortunately he was able to escape the grasp of the Insectar army. He was then saved by Granbell. And the Insectar left in the underworld were also caught and defeated by the King's army, except Zegion and Apito. The Insectars didn't let Zegion and Apito to be caught by the King's army for they believe that these two will be able to free them someday

And so after such a long a time, it is now time for Zegion to free these insectars locked in the underworld with no hope.

[Please Zegion-sama, I now know that you are a truly capable man. I am begging you, please save the other insectars locked down to prison in the otherworld, please]

That is Razul's last word to Zegion. And Zegion who also hope for the liberation of the Revolutionary Team, accepted it to save the Insectars locked down there.

And Zegion who hoped for it, will asked Rimuru to help him for it.

And thus this mission will change the future outcome of the Great War!
