Chapter XIV: Death Is Coming

"Who are you?" I whispered.

She grabbed at her hood with her emerald green gloves. As she went to reveal her identity. She was slowly pulling back her black cloak. All I could currently see was her chestnut brown eyes. Her hair was eventually revealed. It was a auburn, and that could only mean one person. I looked into their eyes. "Lucia!" Moon gasped, "Why are you here?"

"We know you killed Stephanie," I said.

"So, doesn't really make a difference does it," She replied shrugging.

"Don't you care!" I shouted, "have you just lost all care for everything,"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that," she smiled.

Suddenly she threw a knife, It hit someone. It was Sylvia. It plunged itself deep into Sylvia's chest. She fell to the ground choking and spitting out blood. She started to go blue from lack of oxygen. Tears were running down her face. She was trying to say something but she couldn't talk. Her skin went ghostly pale. Then she went limp. Then it was over, she had died. She didn't deserve that ending. Well to be honest no one did.

Her blood was still trickling out from around the knife. Dying her dress and the knifes edge crimson. Lucia started laughing psychotically. I looked at her in horror, I had trusted her. Why would she do this, she is no vampire so there was no need. Blood had shed for no reason. Moon fell to the ground crying. She was so distraught, all of us were to be honest. I didn't even notice Lucia walking over to Sylvia's body. She pulled the knife out of her chest. Leaving the massive hole behind. You could see right in side of her body. I t had broken through a bone. Wow I thought, she has amazing aim. That's besides the point, someone just died and I witnessed it with my very eyes.

I couldn't believe this was happening, why was pretty much everyone dead. Aaron had invited ten people. Me, Moon, Sky, Lucia, Cassandra, Sylvia, Chloe (Cassandra's friend), Stephanie, and two other girls. Lucia has gone psycho, Cassandra, Stephanie, Sylvia and Chloe are all dead, Sky is away looking for clues, Moon is distraught on the floor, the two other girls are hugging each other crying and Aaron is just standing there!! We were all so dead. Where are you Sky, I need you!

"Who wants to go next," Lucia asked after she had gotten the knife out of Sylvia's body. No one said a thing. The went room was silent for a minute then Lucia said, "Ok, I guess I'll choose then," she said happily. She looked terrifying, blood splatters were all over her face. Her dress was also stained with blood and her gloves were permanently dyed crimson her knife was dripping with blood. "I choooooose," she paused for a second then grinned, "I choose Maddi," my heart skipped a beat, she couldn't possibly mean, no we were friends. "Come here 'Madeline' she taunted. I started to slowly back away from her. My eyes were filled with fear and my lips started to tremble. She started walking towards me. "Come on Maddi, it will only hurt a bit," I walked quicker further back. She started walking quicker towards me. My hole body was shaking I was was completely terrified.

I ran into a hallway and turned a corner. I heard her voice echo through the corridor, "You can't cheat death!" She was right I thought but I wasn't cheating death because I never was going to die, well I hoped I wouldn't anyway. I hid in a cupboard. It was pretty obvious but I hoped she wouldn't look in there. I was claustrophobic so that wasn't good. Thoughts were running through my brain. They were suddenly interrupted by Lucia. "I know where you are," she said as she opened the cupboard. I screamed and ran back into the hall. I saw Aaron looking at me Moon was also looking at me trying to hold back tears. I hugged her, "it's going to be ok," I said.

"No it isn't," she said bursting into tears, "you are going to die!" I hugged her even tighter.

"If I do die," I whispered into her ear, "please remember me." A tear rolled down my face.

"I will," she said drowning me in tears, "I will never forget you." Tears rolled down my face. Aaron looked like he was about to cry. I felt bad a gave him a quick hug. Then I saw Lucia out of the corner of my eye.

"I found you!" She said. Holding her bloodied knife in the air. I knew if she got the chance to she would swing it. I backed slowly away. I kept going and going until I hit something, something marble. I had hit the wall.

I gulped a million thoughts traveled through my head, was I going to die of what. For once in my life I was genuinely terrified. I could see Lucia's grin. I could imagine her swinging the knife at my head, not even being able to do anything, paralysed. Tears started to fall done my face. No I thought I had to stay strong till the very end. Suddenly I heard my mothers scream inside of my head. No,no,no, nooo I thought. I didn't want to hear that. I had to stay strong like my mum. What happened to her though. I could see Lucia getting closer and closer. She was about 2 metres away from me. I started to whimper. I was going to die, I should have just stayed home and watched a movie. With popcorn on my lap. Instead I decided to go to a party. It was the worst choice I have made in my entire life!! I started to breathe really heavily. Calm down I thought. I need to relax. Nothing comes good from being agitated.

I looked in front of me to see Lucia standing there smiling, I was scared and really worried. "It will only hurt for a second," she said,"then you will feel nothing ever again, no emotions no anything,"

"Goodbye Madeline Grey," "I won't miss you," she added smiling. She raised the knife high above her head. I braced. I saw Moon tears streaming from her eyes, Aaron was hugging her also crying. I will miss them I thought. I squeezed my eyes shut. Then I heard a gunshot.

Was I hearing things, I thought I heard a gunshot, last time I checked a knife didn't make a shooting sound. Then I heard a familiar voice,

"No one touches my girlfriend..."
