We are now back at Tracy Island one last time for the finale. After a shot of the Tracy Villa, we view the whole family gathered around the lounge together for the briefing by the World President on the hologram again. Jeff is at his desk again with Brains, Captain Taylor, Gordon, and Grandma absent. The World President is very complimentary towards International Rescue.
World President:
Members of International Rescue, the world owes you a great deal of gratitude. Without all your brave and heroic actions, we would not be in the world as we know it today.
Jeff:
On behalf of International Rescue, we are just glad that no harm was done.
World President:
Well... I mean, about...
Jeff:
He's making a fine recovery now. We had an idea about reviving him from the water. Fortunately, the water was cold enough so we could try. He's recovering well in a bed now.
World President:
I am very glad to hear it. As for the Hood and his associates, there is only one thing that is left for them.
Kayo:
At least we know for sure that the Hood's undercover corruptions are now likely to come to an end.
World President:
Yes, but Ms. Kyrano, as a member of your fam-
Kayo:
No, Mr. President. He is not. Never was, never will be. I think it would just be better if you just put him out.
World President:
I see. Well, my wishes with you all, Thunderbirds.
The call has ended. Jeff rises up from his desk.
Jeff:
Well boys, I guess that was for all of us. I think it just goes to show you how much the world needs International Rescue. And if it wasn't for you Scott today, the entire arm of world unity would have fallen into disarray, combined with the death of millions of innocent people.
Scott:
Well, thanks dad. But that was only because, as you said it yourself...
Jeff:
Forget it. I know I have snapped at you in the past before, but your integrity and quick thinking abilities helped us escape from a very precarious situation.
Virgil:
You might be out-doing father a job here, Scott. You'd better watch out dad.
Scott:
He, he, well I guess being the head of International Rescue for so long, it feels weird that now somebody else has my position. But I much prefer it this way.
Virgil:
Well, here he is!
Grandma is wheeling the recovering Gordon is in his bed. With several stickers and wires on him, bandages on his left arm, head, right leg and being all strapped up, Gordon is nevertheless present with the family.
Gordon:
Hi everybody. Phew. It's sure glad to be back with the land of the living.
Penelope:
Oh Gordon!
Grandma:
You poor old thing, Gordon. You'll soon be as right as reign in no time.
Alan is getting jealous. He thinks of an idea.
Mechanic:
But you'll be out for a long time. As will Thunderbird 4.
Scott:
Then we'll have to use an alternative method to rescue underwater missions.
Alan:
Oh, excuse me a minute. I just need to get something.
He hurries off.
Gordon:
This is worse than when I was injured before! Still, I must be lucky that I've survived both times, but I'm not exactly indestructible.
Jeff:
You all mean a great deal to us, Gordon. You're our family. And that's all that counts. Now, I was just about to thank Brains and Lee again for their brilliant ideas. Depends if they're not too busy still working on the Zero XL.
CRASH! BANG! BOOM! SMASH! They all turn to see what the noise was. It was then Alan limping in with a stick and poorly done-up bandages on his right arm and left leg as he limps in claiming he has fallen over. Grandma rushes over to him and helps him up to the lounge.
Grandma:
Oh, Alan!
Alan:
Ugh! I slipped over a banana skin, Grandma. I broke my arm and my leg. Ah! It really hurts.
Scott and Virgil turn to each other smiling.
Grandma:
Oh, dear, now you just relax there.
Alan slumps himself against the sofa.
Looks like we have two sick boys, Jeff.
Gordon:
Grandma, do you think I could perhaps some ice cream to help me cool down. These bandages are so hot.
Grandma:
Of course you may.
Alan:
Ooh, ooh, can I have one too, Grandma? And some chocolate, and some biscuits too.
Grandma:
No, I don't think so young man. What you need are some of Grandma's freshly cooked cookies!
Alan quickly jumps up throwing the bandages down on the ground.
Alan:
Oh, no Grandma, he, he, I'm fine.
Grandma:
Oh, so you're all better now are you?
Alan:
Err, yeah, yeah. Perfectly fine. Never felt better. (Whispering under his breath) Tastes like feet.
Virgil:
He, he, what did you talk about this evening? Grandma's feet.
Brains is calling the lounge.
Brains:
M-Mr. Tracy!
Jeff:
Ah, Brains, good, just the person who I wanted to talk to...
Brains:
No, Mr. Tracy, we-we have the Zero XL. It-ts all ready for launch!
The family light up excitedly.
Jeff:
For launch? That is fantastic news Brains. We make preparations at once with Glen Field.
Scott:
This looks like it's really it then, dad.
Jeff:
Yes it is, son. We're going back out there to where I was stranded. And we're going to fully learn and comprehend what lies out there in our universe...
End.
