The bombs that have been placed on some rocks have been activated! We see the Mechanic suddenly change from his awkward feeling to a robotic almost hypnotized zombified body language. He neutrally walks up to Alan, and suddenly grabs him!

Alan:

Argh! Hay! What are you doing?

He is restrained. The Mechanic squeezes Alan's neck by placing his massively muscular arm around him. Alan scuffs and gasps for air and is dragged towards the portraits of the Tracy brothers, as the others jump up in surprise. Kayo was about to strike, but the tension on Alan's neck increases.

Gordon:

Mechanic! What are you doing to him? What's gotten into you?

Mechanic:

Don't come any closer, any of you! Or I will snap his neck like a twig!

Jeff:

Do as he says, boys. Kayo, step back.

The Hood suddenly appears as a hologram in the centre of the table. We cut to the hologram, the concerned faces of the Tracy family, and inside the Mole with the Regulator, Schnipps, Mal, and Russy all together.

Hood:

May I have your attention, Tracy family. The Island is now completely under my control. Placed around the side are two bombs. One is a sticker bomb, aimed to weaken the structure of the island for the far more destructive power of the TX206. The Mechanic has been returned to my services with a virus that can penetrate and alter his brain patterns. Any attempt to harm the Mechanic or defuse the devices will be most unfortunate for young Alan.

Jeff:

You! What do you want from us?

Hood:

You, Mr. Tracy! You and your ultimate demise, once and for all. The devices are activated and will detonate very, very shortly.

The family gasp in horror. Virgil quickly surveys the area for any bomb devices, and there are! One at either end of each other.

Virgil:

He's not bluffing! He means it alright!

Hood:

I do indeed. But now, your time has come to an end, for all of you. Goodbye, International Rescue. As you boys say it yourself, 5...

We cut with shots of a certain member of the family, who is speaking, followed by the Hood, and the countdown for the TX206...

Gordon:

DAD, WE'VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING!

Jeff:

There is nothing we can do, son.
