Chapter 14: Fifth Red String

=Rainbow Academy: Laboratory=

/Jinho's POV/

I was in the laboratory alone, experimenting with the chemicals and trying to make different potions without really knowing what effects it could bring if I use it on someone or something. It could be really destructive or nothing, no in-between's

A tug on my left pinky finger distracted me a bit but I paid no mind to it as I continue pouring in different chemicals in a beaker carefully. I twirled it around slowly as the colors mixed into a dark pinkish-like color

"Is this even safe? I don't trust dark colors that much" I muttered to myself, examining the experimented potion closely

A knock on the laboratory door surprised me as I flinch slightly, causing a bit of the chemical to spill on the table and my lab coat

"Maybe I should've put it into a container with a cap first" I noted with sigh as I look for a vacant container before pouring in the potion there

"Come in" I beckoned, cleaning up the materials I used and putting it back in their respective places before cleaning the table

"Oh, Kasamatsu-san, hello" I greeted, throwing the cloth away before facing him

"Hello, uh..." Kasamatsu-san trailed off as I realized what he meant

"Jinho, Kim Jinho" I introduced

"Jinho-san" Kasamatsu-san finished as I smiled

"So what we're you doing here alone in this... laboratory?" Kasamatsu-san asked as I took off the gloves, throwing them in the trash bin along with the mask while I wiped the safety goggles clean

"I guess you could say I was experimenting something though I'm not sure what effect it would have when used" I answered, taking off the lab coat and folding it neatly

"I should wash it later..." I thought, caressing the dried potion spot on the coat

"So, what brings you here, Kasamatsu-san?" I asked, turning to him

"Oh, uh... the red string brought me here" Kasamatsu-san answered

"The red string, huh?" I repeated in wonder

"So that's why my end of the string was tugged" I said in realization

"Do you have a clue on why it lead you here?" I asked again

"No, not really" Kasamatsu-san said

"I see, then I guess this should explain" I stated, holding up my left pinky finger that shows my end of the red string

"The red string brought you to your other end, it basically brought you to me for some odd reason" I explained further

"Oh..." Kasamatsu-san trailed off

"Does that mean you're my soul mate?" He asked

"Indeed, why? Is it bad?" I asked back

"No, no, it isn't" Kasamatsu-san denied

"Alright then, I'll head back to my dorms now. I'll see you around, Kasamatsu-san" I bid, leaving him alone in the laboratory

"Yukio" Kasamatsu-san suddenly stated

"Ne?" I asked, looking back at him

"Just call me 'Yukio'" Yukio-san said

"If you say so, Yukio-san" I answered, turning around again

"I just hope he doesn't touch anything in that laboratory" I mentally sighed heading to my dorm to wash the lab coat
