Chapter 18: Ninth Red String

=Rainbow Academy: Rooftop=

/Jkasmin's POV/

I was on the rooftop, admiring the clouds floating about above in the sky as the warm wind blows my hair and skirt softly, my eyes are closed and my lips are in a soft, small smile. I was taking a break from practicing my spells since I started early in the morning, about 3 hours ago

A slight tug on my right pinky finger broke me out of my calm trance as I glanced at the red string of fate tied in my finger

"Must be my other end..." I thought

And speaking of him, a knock sounded on the rooftop door and the slight creaking of it opening made me slowly turn around and face the person

"Ohayo, Midorima-san" I greeted with a small nod

"How do you know it was me, nanodayo?" Midorima-san asked, baffled

"It is quite easy actually. Every special is tied to one of the guest, considering we've been looking after you behind the shadows, it isn't unusual that I know it's you" I explained with a small smile

"Plus I already kind of expected that you'll arrive here sooner or later because of the red string" I added

"How" Midorima-san was about to ask but I cut him off

"It's because of this" I simply said, raising my right pinky finger up

"Oh..." Midorima-san trailed off

"Anyways, do you want to see how your team mates are doing?" I suggested as he just nodded

I turned around facing the vast sky beyond again as I took a deep breath in and out

"By the power invested in me, show me what my other end's team are doing" I said, casting the spell on the rooftop ground as we got surrounded by water, showing the both of us what the Shutoku basketball team is doing

"I didn't think it would actually work" I thought, scanning through the images being shown by the water spell

"This is quite an amazing spell, Miss?" Midorima-san asked

"My bad, it's Jkasmin, Choi Jkasmin" I introduced

"Jkasmin-san" Midorima-san finished

"Why, thank you, Midorima-san, practice makes perfect as they said" I answered

"Indeed, it does" Midorima-san agreed

"It seems to me that your team is still doing good despite you and Takao-san not being with them" I commented, watching the basketball team in what seems to be a match

"They are strong as they are, but stronger when we're there, of course" Midorima-san said

"I guess they are" I hummed in agreement

"Say, why did you want to show me my team?" Midorima-san asked

"It's nothing, I just thought you wanted to check up on them considering it's been a couple weeks since you've last saw your team mates" I explained

"I guess, you're right" Midorima-san muttered

"Ah, Jkasmin, there you are! Classes are about to start in 10, what were you thinking?!" Cathy called from the rooftop door as I took out my phone to look at the time

"I must have forgot about it, sorry Cathy" I apologized

"Its fine, hurry up now, you still have to change into our uniform" Cathy said as she left

"Right... sorry to cut it short, Midorima-san, I'm afraid I have to attend my classes still" I said, turning to him as I undo the spell

"It's fine, go on now or you'll be late" Midorima-san said

"Hai! Until we cross paths again!" I bid, running out and down to my dorm
