/Cathy's POV/

"Hello? Is anyone here?" I called, entering the Mystic Garden cautiously

"No one?" I called again as I walked into the center

"That's great if there's no one here, then, I guess?" I told myself quietly, pulling out the spell book given to us by Mr. Kim as well as my wand

"Now to practice the spells again..." I muttered, turning the pages to where I left off to

"By the power invested in me, turn into ice anywhere I point to" I cast, pointing my wand to a lone flower as it immediately turned frozen

"Cool..." I thought

"Oh? Hello there!" A voice yelled as I turn in surprise, accidentally pointing the wand to them and freezing them as well

"Oh no" I gasped, hurriedly looking for a spell to undo it

"By the power invested in me, undo everything frozen by me" I cast, pointing my wand to the sky as both the person and the lone flower unfroze

"I am so, so, sorry about that. I didn't mean to freeze you" I apologized, bowing deeply to him

"Its fine, I'm at fault too since I just randomly yelled" The person said

"I'm Song Cathy, it's nice to meet you" I introduced

"Kise Ryouta, it's nice to meet you as well" Kise-san said

"Although I already know your name" I thought

"So what brings you here, Kise-san?" I asked

"I don't really know, I was just wandering around when I saw you alone here so I went inside and yeah, you know what happened next" Kise-san explained

"How about you?" Kise-san asked

"Well, I was practicing my spells as you can see, it's kind of part of our classes" I answered

"That's so cool!" Kise-san exclaimed

"Yeah, it is" I agreed

"Can you teach me too?" Kise-san queried

"I don't think I'm allowed to, especially not when Mr. Kim isn't here to supervise us" I answered

"Mr. Kim?" Kise-san asked

"He's our teacher and headmaster of the Rainbow Academy as well as Ms. Kim's fiancé or husband, I think? They never really made clear what relationship they have" I rambled on

"But I guess I could teach you basic spells like the one I accidentally did to you" I muttered as he cheered loudly

"First things first, you have to focus your mind on the spell and the place where you want to cast it on. Clear your mind off of other thoughts and just focus on what you should do then say the spell normally and point the wand on the place and it should work" I explained

"I'll show you" I said

"By the power invested in me, turn into ice anywhere I point to" I said, casting the spell on the lone flower again

"Now you try" I suggested, handing my wand to him

"Here goes nothing..." Kise-san muttered, taking a deep breath

"By the power invested in me, turn into ice anywhere I point to" Kise-san said, pointing the wand on the floor, casting the spell there and causing the whole floor of Mystic Garden to turn frozen

"Now to undo it, say 'By the power invested in me, undo everything frozen by me' and point the wand upwards to the sky" I stated as he nodded in understanding

"By the power invested in me, undo everything frozen by me" Kise-san said, pointing the wand upwards like I instructed as the floor turned back to normal

"What about that frozen flower? Wouldn't the ice melt away?" Kise-san asked, pointing to the flower I froze

"Spells doesn't work like normal ice, it will take days or weeks for the ice spell to melt off" I explained, gently taking the wand from him and undoing the spell on the flower
