Chapter 24: Closer

=Rainbow Academy: Kitchen=

/Ayame's POV/

"Ohayo, Atsushi-kun!" I greeted, before focusing back on the meals I'm currently cooking

"Ohayo, Aya-chin" Atsushi greeted back as he was munching on yet another bag of chips

"Atsushi, you know not to eat chips for breakfast. I already told you about it" I softly scolded, placing the freshly cooked food into two plates before preparing coffees

"But I'm getting hungry already, Aya-chin" Atsushi reasoned

"And I'm almost done with making our breakfast, now stop eating those chips, reserved them for later, okay?" I said, placing both plates and cups with two pairs of utensils into a tray and carrying it over to a table

"Fine... only because Aya-chin says so and she made me breakfast too" Atsushi answered but muttered the last parts so I didn't get to hear it properly

I paid no mind to it, however, just letting him be because I know how stubborn my other end can be when it comes to his snacks which Himuro-kun told me about

"Let's eat" I beckoned as Atsushi sat on the chair in front of me

"Thank you for the food" Atsushi and I said in unison before digging in

I was eating my fill slowly, savoring the taste of the food I made as my eyes wandered to my other end who was literally devouring it

"Atsushi-kun, slow down or you might choke on your food" I said softly with a sigh

"Fine, only because Aya-chin says so" Atsushi said as he slowed down a little with eating which made me smile

"Thanks, Atsushi, I'll treat you to ice cream later after classes, how about that?" I queried as I saw his eyes literally shined with the words 'treat' and 'ice cream'

"From the looks of it, I'm certain you love the thought of it" I said with a small laugh as we finished our breakfast

I took the dirty dishes back at the kitchen so I could wash it. Humming a little tune to myself, I turned my head to where Atsushi is still sitting, now munching on his chips again

I laughed a little, knowing he has a big appetite matching his big stature

"I'm done washing the dishes, Atsushi-kun, let's go?" I asked, wiping my hands dry on a towel

"Okay, Aya-chin" Atsushi answered as he stood up and we walked off together side by side

"So where are you heading off to now, Aya-chin?" Atsushi asked as I glanced up at him

"Classes, you know we still have to attend despite having guests over. We can't take a break from it unless it's a holiday" I answered

"How about you?" I asked

"I don't really know, maybe buy more snacks at the nearby store" Atsushi answered

"Of course, what did I expect anyways" I thought with a small smile

"Ah, my classroom is here, Atsushi-kun, I'll see you after my classes?" I asked, looking up at him

"Sure, Aya-chin, I'll look forward to it" Atsushi said

"Okay then, see you later" I bid, turning around to enter my room when I was suddenly pulled back and soft lips placed a chaste kiss on my head

"See you later, Aya-chin" Atsushi said before turning around and walking away as I stood frozen in front of my classroom
