Prologue

"Parang ready na ako mag-commit," I told Gelo, my best friend.

"Gago, kabag lang 'yan!" aniya sabay subo roon sa chicken ball.

We're here at the food bazaar in our school and I have so much to tell him. I just don't know how or where to fucking start! Damn it! Damn these feelings!

"Tignan mo ako," sabi ko sa kanya. Agad naman din siyang tumingin sa akin. "Don't you find me hot? Aren't you attracted? Kahit kaunti?"

Agad siyang umiwas ng tingin at uminom doon sa gulaman niya. "Kadiri ka!"

"Seryoso kasi! Wala ka bang nararamdaman na anything?"

I was getting a little frustrated.

Sexy naman ako, ah? Maganda at matalino rin naman kahit aminadong maharot.

"Parang tanga naman, Xuriella! Hindi tayo talo!" Nagpamaywang na siya ngayon.

I've known Gelo for years. We've been together since first year college. Sabay kaming nag-lilista ng mga crushes namin at nagtatalo pa kami kung sino ang mas pogi sa mga iyon. Sabay kaming tumitili pag may nakitang macho. Sabay kaming nag-ti-twerk sa lamesa at nakikipagharutan.

I just really don't understand why am I feeling this way. Why do I feel like he have feelings for me? The way he cares about me... I just know that it's different. Nararamdaman ko kasi, kaya ang gusto ko ay marinig mismo sa kanya. Iyong galing talaga sa bibig niya.

"'Di mo sure!" sagot ko naman.

"Siraulo ka talaga! Nauubusan ka na ba ng tite ha at ako ang pinag-ti-tripan mo?"

I rolled my eyes at him. Ang hirap naman nito. Hindi talaga siya aamin o baka wala talaga at nag-iilusyon lang ako?

"So, wala talaga?" I asked again.

"Wala nga! Never!" he said and that hurt my soul.

Pwede namang sabihing wala. Kailangang may never talaga? Makapagsalita, eh! Argh! You're so going to regret this, Angelo Darius!

I was trying to finish my halo-halo habang masakit ang puso. Nasaktan talaga ako, okay? I was shoving the spoon in my mouth when I saw him... The cream of the crop.

Something suddenly popped in my head and I just knew that it was the best idea ever!

"Sa'n ka pupunta?" Gelo asked when I stood up.

"To my soon-to-be boyfriend!" masungit kong sabi at mabilis na tumakbo. Target locked!

Chance Saavedra has always been rude and crass to everyone, except to his friends. He was painted as the most irresponsible Saavedra heir. The Alcoholic and the womanizer are his titles. But no one can deny how good looking he is... Those brown eyes, gifted nose, and prominent jaw can make every girl go down to their knees. Kahit ako, hindi lang luhod. Dapa pa.

"I'm sorry but I'm going to make it look like we are kissing," I said as I immediately draped my left arm around his neck and used my right hand to held his face.

Kinailangan ko pang tumingkayad dahil sobrang tangkad niya.

Nakakunot lang ang noo ni Chance sa akin at halatang hindi ako maintindihan. He looked very confused. Pero ang bango-bango niya, in fairness.

"Here it goes!" I said and leaned over to the side of his face. Ginamit ko iyong kamay ko pandaya, lalo na iyong thumb ko na nakatakip sa lips niya.

Kung saan nakapwesto si Gelo, I was sure as hell that he would see us and he'd thought that we were kissing kahit na hindi naman talaga!

"I think it's okay now," bulong ko at dahan-dahang kumalas sa kanya.

Chance looked at me like what I did was a big mistake. "I don't think so," he said. I was so surprised when he pulled me closer and kissed me. On the lips! Fucking shit!
