Chapter 17

At the end of this day I feel it's time to give explanations and others to give explanations to me. It's been weeks since that incident happened. Leaving lifeguard duty without Justin seeing me was easy, saying I went to the bathroom when I actually went to get some food and ate with Lezi. Jason was also some company, as well Chaz, with Chaz comes Ryan, but Chaz makes sure that Justin is busy when we're together, Ryan and I began talking for the first time in years and it's great. I know that something's missing, which is Justin, which makes me have this decision for today. I still like Justin but before I fix that I want to fix something else, first. I run out my cabin and luckily see Jason right there a few feet away walking towards his cabin. I call after him

Gracie:Jason!

He turns around and walks to me I walk to him at the same time. He gives me a hug and I ask

Gracie:hey I'm gonna need your phone, just real quick.

Jason:um okay, is everything okay?

Gracie:yeah I just need a number.

Jason:but you already have mine.

Gracie:I know, it's another number.

He gives me his phone from his pocket and enters the password. I see his screen and find the phone app and find right away the number I need. I copy the number on my phone then give his phone back and say before I walk off.

Gracie:hey Jason, make things right with my sister, yeah she's a bitch but she's a bitch that you like and likes you back, don't lose that.

I kiss his cheek goodbye then walk to the bench Justin and I were on just the beginning of summer and now it's the end of the first month. I call the number and she answers right away

Chelsea:who is this?

Gracie:hey you answered, shocker.

Chelsea:oh Gracie, I wouldn't have if I knew it was you.

Gracie:but don't hang up. Look I love you, we're sisters. I know things aren't going to be as great as they used to be, but I didn't want you to leave. I want to have someone to talk to that will always be there no matter what. I'm not completely ready to forgive you, but I am, I forgive you. Give us a chance, we can bond again and hey we can double date.

Laughing a real nonbitchy laugh she says

Chelsea:to have a double date you know that we have to have dates too.

Gracie:well I'm sorry you don't know anyone named Jason?

Chelsea:I messed up real bad with him, it was so stupid, I don't even want Justin I never did, I just wanted him because Justin wanted you.

Gracie:well one thing's not true, you didn't mess up with Jason. Trust me.

Chelsea:we'll see and also Justin wants not wanted you. Wait I'm getting a call.

She takes a pause checking to see who it is.

Chelsea:it's Jason.

Gracie:I thought so. I'll go so you can work things out. Hey come back will ya?

Chelsea:we'll see and hey I love you too. Thanks.

Gracie:make it right, let's get that double date.

Chelsea:huh I didn't think I would ever hear you say that.

Gracie:I realize I don't have a date either.

Chelsea:I'm sorry, you know someone named Justin.

I hang up feeling happy about everything to this point until I think of Justin not knowing which twin was which. I stay sitting there thinking and playing with my hair until someone sits next to me and it's Chaz.
