Chapter 10:who's the one that's really hurt?

Justin POV

I walk out of the cabin Ryan, Chaz, and me share. It's crowded but fun as hell. I'm the last one out of the cabin because I got no sleep last night. I thought about Gracie and how she looked. I knew there was something wrong with her, but I didn't do anything about it. Which I should've. I mean I really like her. She is a really good friend. I don't know what to do. I'll figure it out once I counsel with her today. I walk by the tiki to see if she might be there, in the mean time I get fruit, orange juice, and chocolate waffles. I don't see her. I decide to walk and eat. I finish my breakfast as I stand in front of the lake. I stand there waiting for the kids for about twenty minutes. Where the hell are they? Oh crap, I have to pick them up. I run to their cabin while bumping into people. A few girls stopped me to take pictures and stuff. I'm a good guy how could I say no. Anyways I get there to find the Jason's half of the group, except Jason isn't there, it's just that girl Pamela. She has on a really worried face. She comes up to me and hugs me. I hug her back.

Pamela:hey Justin you're late. I was getting worried.

I get her off me. I look around for Gracie. I hope she's not with that dude Jason.

Justin:uhh sorry, but hey have you seen Gracie?

Pamela:yeah why?

Justin:uhh because I'm counseling with her.

She says while laughing a confused laugh

Pamela:no you're not.

I laugh in confusion too.

Justin:I'm pretty sure I am.

We look at each other for a while. She isn't that bad looking. I mean blondes aren't really my goal, but I don't mind. She has great green eyes just like Gracie. Gracie's black hair brings her eyes out more though. Wait Gracie, where is she?

Justin:wait so where's Gracie?

Pamela:she's with Jason.

Justin:Jason? Where?

Pamela:um counseling with Gracie. Nobody told you?

Justin:I'm sorry what's going on?

Pamela:Gracie asked if she could counsel with someone else and she got Jason. They're over at the lake already where we should be.

Jason and Gracie. I guess Gracie really likes him. Gracie was really serious about leaving my life. I start to get a pain in my chest. Pamela speaks up

Pamela:they're a really cute together, kind of like you and me.

She looks at me with a sneaky smile that's actually sexy yet creepy at the same time. I look at her and put my hand on my chest from the pain.

Justin:I'll think about that.

I smirk at her which makes her bite her lip then looks down and examines her nails. Well that ruined the moment. I hate when girls do that, when they pay more attention to themselves then the guy they're with.

Justin:Pamela?

Pamela:yeah sorry my nail broke.

Justin:we should head to the lake.

Pamela:oh oh right. Let's go.

Justin:okay guys hey I'm Justin, sorry that Jason left you guys, but I'm here to make it all better. Who's ready for the lake?

Kids:we are!!!

I say in a tough man voice.

Justin:great, but you have to save your energy to be a super lifeguard.
