Lex POV

I stared down at the test in my hands breaking from my thoughts. I jumped a little when an AirPod was pulled out of my ear.

"Y-your pregnant." I turned to see lani. My eyes widened and I quickly looked behind her to see if anyone had heard her.

"They getting the stuff from the car. Lex you're pregnant. Malasia finna have a cousin." She smiled brightly. Mentioning her three year old daughter.At her words I took a second to breath.

"The pappy six ain't it." She looked over across the field where the boys where. I nodded looking down before quickly putting them back.

"How far along are you." She asked sitting down across from me. "I don't know but no more than a month and a half." I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.

"Are you going you tell him." I hesitated to answer. That was another question I hadn't had the answer to yet.

"He's the father lex he has a right to know even if he chooses not to be in the child's life. It's his right don't take that away from him." I knew she was right but I still needed time to prepare for the conversation.

"Just know no matter what I'm here. Can I hug you." When I nodded in approval she hugged me before dropping the conversation when the boys came over

"Wassup lex." Dee greeted to which I returned with a simple hey.

"Ayy I know that ain't who I think it is." Some boy yelled from the basketball court. The boys mugged him until I guess they realized who it was.

"Wats happenen man I ain't heard from you inna minute." Rell got up and joined the boy on the court as well as the other boys.

I decided to finish reading my book while they did whatever. Time must have passed faster than I thought because my attention was taken away from my book when Lani lightly taped my shoulder before apologizing.

"Lex it's time to go im going home with jay six is taking you home." I just stared at her for a while before nodding. She ain't slick tryna get me to talk to him.

I grabbed my things putting everything up before walking to his car. I opened the door and got in buckling my seat belt.

He turned and mugged me and i returned his stare unbothered. " Where you stay." He handed me his phone to put my address in. When he had my address he sped out the parking lot and to my apartment.

The ride there was silent besides the rap music he played that gave me a migraine. I got a text from Lani making me roll my eyes I knew what she wanted.

When we pulled into the garage of my complex. "Can I talk to you right quick." I lightly bit my lip waiting for him to respond. He looked up from his phone and glanced over at me before he looked back down.

I took that as a sign for me to continue. "I don't know if you remember but we hooked up after Dee's party and I'm pregnant." He cut his phone off and looked up at me giving me his full attention.

His face was void of emotion so there was nothing giving away how he felt. "You're the only person I've ever been with ever so you are the father. It's your choice to be in the child's life or not I honestly don't care." I grabbed the pregnancy test and my things getting out the car.

He stopped me before I closed the door "when yo doctors appointment." I was surprised he'd asked. "Friday after five my classes end at four thirty so I'll meet you there."
