Day 15
Jimin's Pov
"Maybe I should give up." Everyone looked at me, shocked.
"W-what?" Taehyung stuttered out the word, not really comprehending what I announced."I mean it's been two years. Maybe he really isn't just going to show up into thin air." The table was silent. Now that I was done they probably didn't know what to think.
I mean, I kinda was the only one that still had hope that Yoongi would just magically show up into our lives. Now that sliver of hope is gone, I don't know what to do with myself.
My eyes catch onto Hoseok who opened his mouth to say something. Before he could a waiter comes over to our table, her face full of sunshine and smiles.
I look down at her name tag. Chaeryeong..?"Hello I will be your server today? Do you gentlemen and lady know what you want to eat?" We all looked at each other. We were too busy speaking that we haven't even looked at the menu.
"Do you want me to start with drinks?" I nodded. We named off what we wanted and then she left, going off and disappearing through white kitchen doors that had circle windows.
The six of us were currently at Phantom's Spice, my favorite restaurant to eat at. Jin's sister is the owner too, so every time we go we always get a discount. It was always needed.
"Look Jimin. I know we kind of gave up on finding Yoongi, but this video I saw on TikTok changed my mind." Jungkook pulled out her phone, seeming to be going to the said app.
TikTok?
Jin's face scrunched up. "I know damn well I wouldn't believe anything from TikTok. I mean why even use the app when you could be artistic?"
"Not every is good at what you do or likes it Jin." My gaze traveled over towards a table of five, my ears drowning out the access noise coming from the people nearest to me. There were three kids and two adults, male and female. They seemed to be married as their hands were intertwined under the table and they played footsies.
"Jimin look!" My eyes darted over to Jungkook, my eyes being blinded by the bright light of Jungkook's iPhone which replaced her face from my vision.
I backed up, closing my eyes.
"Turn that shit down."
"Sorry." After she mumbled her half-assed apology I open my eyes again and watch the video she was showcasing to me.Is she serious?
"Jungkook, I don't want to hurt your feelings but that's stupid." Jungkook glared at me, snatching her phone away from view.
It was one of those TikTok videos that if you claimed it by liking, sharing, or following then whatever you claimed would come true. Honestly it seemed like such a scam.
In the video Jungkook told me it said that an old friend or acquaintance would come back into your life.
I didn't believe it one bit. The drinks came, and I bowed my head at the waitress as she set my own drink in front of me. That's when we remembered we were hungry, and we started to search for something to eat on the provided menus.
"I get why you find it stupid Jimin, but I don't! That hasn't been the only video that's shown up on my for you page! There have been like four other videos too! Some saying someone from my past will talk to me, or an old best friend will show up in my life, and more!"
Knowing what I want to eat I remove my eyes from the menu, placing it besides my carbonated drink that I take a small sip of while I glance at Jungkook.
"When did you start getting this stuff on your for you page?" She titled her head, her eyes trained on the dangling lights from the ceiling.
"I started to get them about a week ago. Why?"
"Would you have met Yoongi around a week ago then? Why would this, "manifestation" take weeks if in the video you just showed me said it would happen in the next few days?"The table was silent. We were all looking at Jungkook, waiting for her to respond to my question. How could she really believe that stuff? I mean TikTok? Claiming? Don't even get me started.
"Maybe I did meet him and didn't know it. You do know that it's been seven years. He could look completely different than what he used to look like. I mean look at Namjoon, he has a buz cut and face tats! Would you even imagine Namjoon looking like that seven years ago?"
She got me. I looked over to Namjoon, seeing how Jungkook was right. His hair was buzz cutted, bleached and then dyed purple. He had studs, and above his eyebrow he had tattoos of flying birds, while under his ear he has Hoseok's name tatted in cursive. Could I have imagined Namjoon to turn out like this?Absolutely not.
"You're right. I still don't really believe it, but I won't put it past me. Still though, nothing has shown up to indicate Yoongi's location."
Jin cleared his throat, a cocky smile on his face as he ran a hand through his dyed blonde hair. "Actually, I found something." We all turned to him, hope in our eyes as a grin started to form on my face.
"What did you get!"
"Well, there was a purchase of something under the name Min Yoongi two days ago in Seoul. Though it was under a new account." There are plenty of Min Yoongi's........My shoulder deflated.
"Do you at least know the account name?" Jin shook his head apologetically. "Sorry Jimin. There is only so much Doyoung's company technology can do." I nodded in understanding."We can still assume that it's Yoongi because of the videos! And the fact that we all changed our accounts after high school too. Don't lose hope yet guys!" At Jungkook's team spirit, my heart fluttered.
Could I really see Yoongi after seven years?
