Prologue
I am not wanted in this world. No one wants me. Not my parents, not anybody at school, not anybody. I am the most unwanted person on the earth.
High school is hell for me. People are always making fun of me.They call me names like "Dweeb" and "Stupid" (I'll have you know I am anything less than a dweeb or stupid). Kids are always shoving me up against lockers or to the floors. I have so many bruises its not funny.
My home life is just as bad as school. My mom and dad are never home, and when they are, you know it. They are always arguing and fighting. My dad will get mad at my mom over something or it'll be vice verse. My parents don't even notice I am home. I can try to talk to them or ask them for something but they'll smack me and send me away.
I sometimes wonder why God put me on this earth. Everyone is always treating me like crap. There is only one person on this earth who actually cares about me.
About me, Martha Hayes. That person is my best friend Jackson Alexander. Jackson and I have been friends since second grade. We met in art class. He wanted some clay and so did I. There really wasn't enough, but we shared it and immediately become friends.
If I never would have met Jackson, I would probably be the girl eating her lunch in the bathroom everyday. I'd be at home alone with my screaming parents and my annoying brother, Adam, who is always getting himself into serious trouble. Getting caught drunk driving or getting high with his friends.
As you can probably tell, my life has never been a piece of cake. And it probably never will be. I'll always be the unwanted girl.
